Mother Son Day

Shawn's POV

I've just got back from my Illuminate tour and its all finished, so I have 2 weeks off. Aaliyah and my dad still have another day at school and work but my mum is off so we are spending the day together.

I'm still in bed - I got back at 3am as my flight was a few hours late and I told my parents not to stay up. I'm pretty jet lagged right now. I fell asleep for an hour but can't get back to sleep. Its now 7 30am. My mum comes in.

"Hey hunny...No stay in bed you need your rest." She sits at my bedside and hugs me tightly. "How did you sleep?"

"Not well I'm jet lagged."

"Come on. I'll make you breakfast and then if you get tired you can sleep." My mum helps me out of bed. My body was sore due to touring and my feet were swollen up so I was finding it hard to walk. After brushing my teeth I go down into the living room and sit on the sofa. My mum brings me some toast with jam. Weirdly, I miss homemade toast when I'm touring. After I finish eating I lay my head in my mum's lap and watch TV.

"You have huge eyebags darling." She brushes her hand under my eyes. "Have you been scratching your eyes?" I nod. I had small bits of eczema under my eyes. "I bought some cream for it lemme get it."

"Which cream?" I ask, sitting up.

"This one here. Lay back down." She orders. "Its gonna feel cold love." The cream stung a bit at first but then felt refreshing.

"Thanks mum" I smile and she kisses my cheek.

"Right lets watch Harry Potter." My mum puts in the first Harry Potter film. I rest my head on her shoulder - my mum babies me for a day or so every single time I come home from being away for a few days. My back was really sore.

"Do you want a back massage?" My mum asks me.

"How did you know?"

"I'm your mum. I can see pain in your eyes quicker than anyone else. Now lie on your front."

"Thank you"

I began to feel tired during the film. "Mum I'm going to bed."

"That's absolutely fine hunny. I'll come and tuck you in." I climb the stairs and get into bed, and my mum comes in with a hot water bottle. "For your feet as they hurt after tour." My mum lifts up my duvet and puts the hot water bottle at my feet.

"Mummy can you stay with me?" I ask politely as I missed her.

"Of course darling." My head rests on her stomach and she takes her hands through my hair. "Night darling. I love you." She whispers into my ear, and I'm pretty sure I replied before falling asleep in my mother's arms.
