Adryanna's POV

Shawn had been getting terrible nightmares. They affect his sleep to the point where he is scared to sleep.

He had been given some pills to help him sleep. I get a call from Shawn, he's probably scared to sleep. Poor thing.

"Adryanna?" He chokes out.

"Shawn I'm coming hold on." I run to my car and drive to Shawn's house.

I have a key to his apartment so I let myself in. I knock on his bedroom door and walk in.

"Shawn" he's laying in bed in the fetal position, shaking in fear. "Hey come here." I lift his head into my lap, gently running my fingers through his hair.

"I... I'm scared." He cries, digging his head into my leg.

Shawn had pills to help him get to sleep. He needed to take them as his career meant that he wouldn't be sleeping much anyway.

"Have you taken your pills sweetie?" I ask him. He shakes his head and tears begin pouring out of his eyes, and he sobs into my chest. I just hold him for a while and let him calm down before speaking.

"Shawn I want to help you but you need to take your pills so you can sleep darling." I explain and he shakes his head.

"But... but that's the thing..."

"What is it Shawn?" I ask concerningly.

"I... I don't want to sleep. I'm going to get nightmares..." he outlines and this worries me. Shawn barely slept anyway so every second of sleep counted for him.

"Come here." I let him crawl between my legs and hold his body against me. "You need to try and beat it hun. Try to sleep." I begin stroking his hair - this got him to sleep but he didn't know it.

My plan fails.

"I just drank three cups of coffee so I'm not sleeping." Damn it Shawn! I had an idea - I call Manny and ask him to talk to Shawn.

"Shawn your father is here." I lead Manny into Shawn's room and leave them to speak.

Normal POV

"Hey bud." Manny sits on the edge of Shawn's bed.

"Dad" Shawn sits up and faces his dad.

"I know this is tough." Manny pats Shawn's leg to comfort him. "But you need to beat this fear and overcome it. Don't let it take over your life and consume you."

"Its just hard... I feel like if I sleep something bad will happen." Shawn leans his head back in defeat.

"Look at me Shawn. When you first starting singing what did I tell you? You have to write a song. You know what you did? You went and wrote a song because you knew you had to. Now, when you began getting negative comments, what did I tell you? I told you to take a step back and look at the perspective and see the positivity. You did just that and look at you now! When you reached a breaking point during your first world tour and you were so upset that you were going to leave everything and fly back, what did I tell you? I told you to breathe and hold on... I could go on forever. My point is that you have overcome so much, more than me and your mum, so you can do this!"

"I... I can try." Shawn stutters, a weak smile forming on his tear stained face.

Adryanna's POV

I called Manny as he gave good advice to Shawn, and Shawn listened to him.

They were talking for a few minutes before Mamny leaves.

"Thanks for coming!" I walk Manny out.

"No worries. Just stay with him and make sure he sleeps. He worries me sometimes and this isn't good for his anxiety."

"I'll take care of him... see you soon."

"Take care." Manny leaves and I go into Shawn's room.

"Stay with me." Shawn pleads and I sit up next to him. "Cuddle me."

"Lay down." I instruct and he obeys.

We both lay down and I put my arm around him.

"Are you okay now?" I ask Shawn, putting my arm around his bare shoulder.

"I'm a bit better yeah." Shawn rests his head on my shoulder. I begin stroking his hair, gently untangling the knots in his hair. This is s trick that always gets him to sleep. My arms wrap around him tightly and I wrap my arms around his head to block the light from coming in, which will help him sleep.

"Night Shawn." I whisper into his ear, kissing his head through his hair as he falls asleep in my arms.
