Firstly, I'd like to say a massive THANK YOU for 100K. I'm gonna tell you a little about myself to explain why I'm so happy.

2017 was a very tough year, it was easily the hardest year of my life. I lost someone close to me, and that started a general downwards spiral.

I was diagnosed with anxiety and then depression a few months later. I joined WattPad in August as an escape from all that was happening. Meanwhile, my mental health had gotten much worse and I was suicidal.

I began writing in October to try and get my feelings on to something, and published them as a way to release all the pain, and that explains why a lot of my imagines are sad as putting myself into Shawn's shoes and expressing something that happened to me was helping me gain back the little bit of hope that I desperately needed. I loved the idea that I could be anyone I wanted to be, and writing imagines really helped me find myself at a time where I had no hope left in life.

I remember when I first published an imagine. It was in October 2017, and I was off school because of my anxiety. Seeing the view count increase and the votes really helped my mood. I couldn't believe that people liked my stories. So I kept going, and wrote some of your amazing requests, and then began including more and more personal aspects into my imagines.

However, they all shared one common denominator - they all had happy endings. Whether or not it was Shawn or Y/N who was suffering, they had a happy ending and didn't give up. That helped me see that there is life out there, that things can get better.

In December 2017, when things got real bad, I made a promise to myself - that I'm going to do whatever I can to stop feeling like this. It is now March 2018, and its been over two months since I had a bad day, and I've been discharged from the mental health clinic I used to attend.

In November, I started something called 'My Story'. It was only short, but the next thing I do after I have finished my 'Lupus' book is expand on that by changing and adding bits into it to turn it into a book.

My point is, WattPad has essentially saved my life. I don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for this. The joy I'd get after someone liked, voted, commented or messaged me about something personal or even something random that I'd written was immense. I am so grateful for you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart for 100K.

Also, a massive THANK YOU to my Wattpad friends. I'm not going to mention you all, but I cherish any small conversation we have on here and I'm grateful that you took the time to speak to me and form a friendship ❤
