Hearing Aids

Shawn's POV

I am going out with Adryanna and Andrew today. We are going for a walk, then getting pizza.

I have hearing aids. My eardrums were damaged due to being exposed to loud sounds. I really don't want to wear them as they make me self conscious. I can just about hear without them.

"Shawn!" I hear Andrew call but I don't understand what he says.

"Okay." I reply.

Andrew's POV

"Shawn have you got the vouchers for the restaurant?"

"Okay." I instantly know he isn't wearing his hearing aids. He can hear fine if we sit close and I speak a bit louder but not if I am in the other room, like I am now. "Shawn are you wearing your hearing aids?"

That statement made him break down into tears.

Adryanna's POV

I'm just pulling up outside Shawn's house when I get a call from Andrew.

"Hey I'm just outside."

"Adryanna come quick. Shawn's upset and to be honest I don't know what to do." My eyes widen as I rush inside and see the poor boy curled up into a ball on the sofa. I sit next to him and pat his shoulder. He looks me in the eye, hurt in his eyes.

"Come here." He lays his head on my shoulder and begins to sob. I hold him protectively, rubbing my hand up and down his back. Andrew brings Shawn's hearing aids and I instantly knew what was up with him.

I help him sit up and cup his cheek.

"I thought you'd l...love me less..." he cries. I wipe his tears with my thumb.

"Don't ever feel like I'll love you any less. I love you for who you are and nothing will ever change that. Please don't get upset honey." I then help him put his hearing aids back on.

"Thank you Adryanna."

"Right lets go." I help him to his feet and plant a quick kiss on his cheek and we then leave.

QUESTION - Is the clutch in a petrol car different to a diesel car? As I think it is...
