"Dame-Tsuna, calm down. I'll be going out to gather information so stay put."

Reborn's tone didn't betray his own impatience and worry but the killing intent that had unintentionally leaked into his words did.

Tsuna frowned and nodded slowly. Upon seeing Reborn's skeptical look, he sighed.

"I promise."

The hitman didn't see the brunet's fingers cross behind his back.

---

Checking the clock for the 15th time in ten minutes, Tsuna couldn't help but sigh in frustration. It had only been half an hour since Reborn had left and yet the brunet just couldn't sit still.

The sun was rising and the sky was now a beautiful mix of light pink, orange and blue.

Tsuna knew Kat would have loved seeing it and immediately, he was greeted by a pang in his heart that she wasn't here with him. He hoped that she was safe, where ever she was.

Coughing weakly, the boy sighed helplessly at the sight of some lightly splattered blood on his palm.

He had ran out of sun flames just the day before and being in Hyper Dying Will mode had taken a huge toll on his body.

I can't stand just sitting here doing nothing!

Different scenarios of Kat suffering alone played out in Tsuna's head and the boy couldn't help but want to tear his own hair out. His mind whirred as plans began to form in his mind.

...Maybe...if I...

---

"Tch, what do you want?"

"Herbivore, speak before I bite you to death."

Tsuna smiled sadly at the seven guardians seated in front of him, skillfully ignoring the hostility in their tones.

It had taken two hours of begging just for them to even agree hearing him out.

"...Well- To put it simply..." He winced at the sharp glance sent his way. "Kat has been kidnapped by the Garofano boss... and I- ...I would like all of us to help bring her home... Please."

Hearing the pathetic plea, Gokudera scoffed while the other guardians shadowed their eyes.

Tsuma felt a chill rush up his spine.

It was almost as if they didn't belie-

"Stop with the lies, Sawada."

W-What?

Unexpectedly, it was Yamamoto who spoke first. Tsuna felt a sharp pain jab his heart at his rain's harsh tone, as well as the sting of a bitter betrayal while the image of the raven snatching the gift off the counter just the night before played out in his head-

"W-What do you mean?"

And Tsuna was completely taken off-guard with what happened next.

Gokudera grabbed onto Tsuna collar and glared at him murderously, as though the silveret silently relished his fear.

"You are nothing but a weak liar who wants to trick us into serving you by using Kat."

Tsuna felt his world stop and his heart twisted painfully. After all they had been through, it seemed that this was it.

"Just disappear already!"

His vision blurred as colours exploded in his head.

Red.
