"So, I heard you had a daaaaate," Honey says, leaning in.

"Pfft no," you bat your hand, "I mean yeah, it was, kind of."

She blinks at you, waiting.

"What?" You ask, turning back to your textbook. You had to write notes for Physics.

"Can I know what happened?" She grins.

"Um, let's see. We went to Lucky Cat Café, y'know, the one Tadashi works at, and we just had drinks and we talked, no biggie."

"It's a huge biggie! Who was it again?"

"His name is Nate," you say, chewing on your pen.

"Nate..." Honey turns away, thinking, "that name sounds familiar."

"Sounds familiar to me too," Nate walks up, waving.

Honey's face lights up. She gives you a big thumbs up and scoots away.

"I have to go make something implode, byeee!" She exclaims. She smiles at you again, and strides away on her yellow platforms.

"Hey beautiful," Nate says, scooting his chair next to yours.

It's just you and him in the hall, except for the barista at the counter inside the campus café.

"Hey," you say, setting your pen down and smiling.

You look at each other for a moment, just smiling. He looks down and chuckles.

"I really enjoyed last night, I had a good time."

"Me too," you agree.

He glances behind him, and around the area, before leaning in.

In a second, his lips are on your cheek, just slightly. A slight brush across your skin that makes your skin flush a bright pink.

He pulls away, smiling. You stare, speechless.

"Wanna do it again sometime?" He asks.

"Yeah," you nod, still a little dazed.

"Great, I gotta go, but I'll see you later."

He stands up and leaves, waving goodbye.

You wave back, then reach up to touch your cheek. You smile and blush again, remembering the touch of his lips on your skin.

You check the time and quickly grab your stuff before heading off to Robotics.

"Hello," the white marshmallow-looking robot says, "I am Baymax. Your personal health companion."

Tadashi stands next to Baymax, looking proud.

"Pretty cool right?" He turns to you.

"Uh, yeah, he's cool," you walk around the robot, inspecting it.

"So, so this is the kinda stuff you guys make?"

"For the most part, yeah," Tadashi says, "Hiro made smaller robots that were for fighting in bot fights downtown, even though I told him not to, GoGo's working on her bike, Wasabi's got laser tech and Honey does chemistry, not really robotics, and Fred...well Fred's really just 'moral support'."

"Ah."

"On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your pain?" Baymax asks.

"I'm not in pain," you smile.

"But you said, 'ow'."

"No no, I said, 'ah', there's a difference."

"Oh," says Baymax.

Tadashi shakes his head.

"There's still some minor bugs, but for the most part, he's my best project."

"I like him."

Tadashi smiles at you, his gaze softening.

You smile back, still a tad bit weary.

Something about his smile didn't feel right.

But, you shake it off.

"So, how long did it take to make him?" You ask.

He thinks for a moment.

"Oh I dunno, about a couple years?"

Your eyes widen.

"That's a long time..."

"I mean," Tadashi laughs, "he is a fully functioning robot, with AI and an entire medical database."

"Pfft right," you say, "I knew that."

"Do you know where your station is?" He picks up a screwdriver.

"Oh, uhh..."

"I take that as a no?" He raises an eyebrow.

You nod.

"I can walk you to the next empty one and you can set up there."

"Oh, thanks." You rub the back of your neck. You didn't want to be alone with him, something definitely did not seem right.

"You're welcome."

It flashes behind his eyes again, whatever it is.
