Clara starts to cry again, so I hold on to her.

"It's still early in the morning, so let's get some more sleep," I suggest to Clara.

She agrees, and we both climb into the spare bed.

I hope everything will be okay when we wake up.

Chapter 7

The robber is gone, but they did take all the money we stored in our house. The total added up to almost $1,500.

I hope my babies made it to the basement and nothing happened to them.

"Have you seen the kids?" I ask my husband.

"I'm heading to the basement now to make sure they are okay," he responds.

I follow him down the stairs and turn on a light.

"Aww," I say, after I see Chloe and Clara asleep in the spare bed.

I hear someone talking and quickly wake up.

"You're awake!" my mom says, sounding startled.

"Yeah, what time is it?" I ask sleepily.

"It's around 9:00," she responds.

Clara wakes up and rubs her eyes. She looks around confused then sees our parents.

"Mommy! Daddy!" she yells and jumps up to hug them.

"Clara Bear!" they say, hugging her back.

"The robber is gone," my dad says happily.

The robber. I almost forgot.

I swallow then ask, "Does this mean... we are going to move?"

They look at each other and sigh.

"Most likely. I've already started looking at places in Florida," my mom says. I can tell she is avoiding eye contact.

"FLORIDA?!?" I yell. Florida is so far away.

"I know it's far, but we've been looking for homes in a sunny place for a long time, and this is the perfect time to move," my dad says.

I don't even want to talk to him right now. I run up to my room and flop onto my bed. I can't even think straight so I just text Josh.

Chloe: Moving.

Josh: WHAT?

Chloe: We got robbed again this morning, so we're moving.

Josh: Noo! Where are you moving?

Chloe: Florida

Josh: That's so far away!

Chloe: I know but there's nothing I can do about it now.

Josh: I'll miss you so much!

Chloe: I'll miss you too.

Three days later, my mom walks into my room.

"I know you don't want to talk, but we found a house," she announces.
