YOU DID WELL
For millions of us searching for the light
I don't have the heart
To consider your death a suicide
Because for me it was a sacrifice
For those who wish someone would hear
For those who are bonded by one thing called fear
You have ignited a fire within those
Whose lungs are clouded with fading hopes
We are the millennials
Treading on the path to failures
At least that's what we are made to believe
A necessary note in our dirty books to keep
And we are constantly reminded that
Not only by those who wear the same hat
But by haters
And most importantly ourselves
We wish we could leave past in past
Keep running fast and fast
But we cannot escape
When it keeps bouncing back
You wanted to hear only one thing
And we are going to say that something
I hope you are at peace in heaven
Because yes, you did well
And here's to the rest of us
With our hearts caged in this fuss
Stop killing your mind
To keep pace with time
Blood freezing, not burning
Eyes drying, not crying
We have to reverse this, and nurture
Ourselves, for we are the future
We cannot decline this
No matter how big of an illusion future is
Stop hiding underneath the cold sheet
You are not alone, please stand firm on your feet
There are beautiful things to experience
When was the last time you saw sunrise?
Push yourself out of this dark grey area and
Listen, nobody can save you but you in the end
Stop letting this storm inside you keep killing the flowers
Stop letting yourself burn in hell and instead take hot showers
Pick up your favourite hobbies that are dusting away
Let the moonlight and sunshine light your way
Moon loved Earth
But Earth loved Sun
But that never stopped the Moon from shining
Even if it was the Sun in the end that it was reflecting
Remove this patch of loneliness
Keep yourself happy, focus on your fitness
Break down this stigma, and bring attention
Together we can fight off this exhaustion
Little steps, one at a time
We will learn to fly this kite
Beat this game, this level
And beat this hell, this devil
