Thy Love A Blessing!

Lo!

Let me wash my unclean hands

In the gurgling waters of Ganga,

And carefully adorn my wrists with

Garlanded tassels of Rajanigandha.

O my love, only then show

On my little palms thy love.

The cloud may blush at that sight

As chirping and cheering goes the dove.

I shall offer thy love on a gold plate

At the holy gates of the temple at morning.

No other offering could satisfy the Heavens.

Such is the power of thy love and being.

All my sins shall be muffled in

The enthralled cries of the morning prayer,

As the smell of thy presence, mingled with that of

Incense sticks, calls each and every soul here.

Blessed twice am I to be the container of

Your heavenly love and the Heavens.

O love, ne'er cease to bless me with thy love

And I shall ne'er cease being thy worshiper.
