Vent.
Cuz w h o o.

He couldn't stop staring.

He looked once..

And he suddenly couldn't stop staring.

At himself.

He looked disgusting.

And ugly.

And he knew he couldn't love a monster like him.

And just like that, he broke down.

Disgusting. Ugly. Fat. Worthless. The words echoed through his mind, for he know each of them were true.

Get it together. You can't go to school looking like you just cried your heart out over a dead relative or something.

He stood up and took a deep breath.

He walked downstairs.

"Michael! Breakfast is ready!" His mom called from the kitchen.

Usually, he'd take this offer.

Then the voice came back. You don't need food. You're already doing better.

"I'm.. Not hungry." He said.

He picked up his backpack, got into his car, and drove to school.

At school, the first person he saw was Jeremy.

The boy he loved most..

Jeremy (being a concerned boyf) always made sure Michael didn't do anything bad.

"Hey Mikey!"

"Hey, Jer."

"Question time, as always. So.. Did you cut?"

"Nope."

"Did you sleep?"

"Yep."

"Did you eat?"

"No."

Jeremy gave Michael a scared look. "Wasn't hungry."

Jeremy shrugged.

Michael didn't go to school for 2 weeks. Jeremy's concern grew greatly.

"Hey, do you know what's up with Michael?" He asked Jake and Rich.

"Nope."

"Sorry, Jeremy."

Michael had been isolating himself in his room. He refused to eat.

He didn't want food. He didn't want other's approval of his decision. He wanted to look normal.

A half-week passed. Michael's stomach was screaming at him to eat, yet his heart kept telling him otherwise.

But deep down, Michael knew it. This was slowly killing him.

But he didn't care. He'd be fine.

Then the thought came to him: His monthly sleepover at Jeremy's. He couldn't cancel.

So he sighed, packed up some stuff, and decided to go over to Jeremy's to wait for him.

Jeremy's older brother greeted him at the door. Michael gave him a weak smile and went up to Jeremy's room.

"A-are you okay?" He asked, clicking a fidget cube in one hand.

"Fine." But Michael wasn't fine.

About an hour later, Jeremy came home.

"Hey, big bro!! What's up?" He said, trying to act cheerful to hide his concern.

"Michael's here."

Jeremy gasped.

He immediately threw his backpack on the ground and ran up to his room.

He sat on his bed and threw his arms around Michael.

"Mikey.." He whispered.

This was almost enough to make Michael cry.

"Mikey, you scared me so bad.."

Michael was choking back tears at this point.

"I'm s-sorry.. I've been sick.."

This wasn't entirely a lie, as not eating made him very weak.

Michael was sweating.

Jeremy pulled off his hoodie.

"Do you have a t-shirt you can change into?"

Michael nodded. He pulled off his shirt- and Jeremy suddenly gasped.

He was skinnier, way skinnier then he had been. It looked extremely unhealthy. And there were scars.. Scars everywhere. All over his arms. They looked new.

"Jeremy? Jeremy, what-..."

He immediately went quiet.

Jeremy was absolutely sobbing.

Michael realized what was wrong.

"Jeremy.. Jeremy, no, please don't cry.."

Tears filled his own eyes.

"I o-only did this.. So I could be good enough for you.."

Jeremy looked over. Tears were still flowing out of his eyes, but his sobbing stopped.

"Michael, what...?"

"I was never good enough. I've always been ugly and fat.. I've always been stupid and weak.. and scared.. I'm nothing close to what you deserve. I want to be perfect for you. Enough is not enough. What you deserve is perfect."

Jeremy quickly moved over and pressed his lips against Michael's. Michael melted into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Jeremy's neck.

Jeremy pulled away and wiped Michael's tears.

"Michael, knowing you.. imperfect is exactly what perfect is. Stop trying to fix yourself.. There's nothing to fix. You're more than what I could ever dream of the way you are. I don't want an altered version of you, Michael.. I want you."

"How.. How could you want me, though? I'm not special.. There's thousands of people who are prettier and smarter. So why would you choose me?"

"I don't want someone with no flaws. I don't want someone who never messes up. Who do I want? I want a short, transgender nerd who wears a red hoodie, has adorable glasses, and has genuine flaws and imperfections like a real human being."

Michael chuckled.

"And I want a tall, bisexual nerd with an adorable laugh, a perfect sense of humor, actual feelings and genuine flaws and imperfections like a real human being."

"You're gonna have to look for someone else, then."

"I beg to differ."

Jeremy chuckled.

"What did I do to deserve you?"

"Obviously, something pretty bad."

"Mikeeyyyyyy."

Michael chuckled.

"Kidding!"

Jeremy kissed him again.

"Promise me you'll eat, okay..?"

Michael was skeptical at first.

Then he saw Jeremy had that look in his eyes.

The "I'm not fucking around, Michael." Look in his eyes.

Michael allowed himself a slight smile.

"I promise."

Lmao this has been done for at least a month and a half but I forgot to publish it bc I'm stupid.
