This is going to be the Snow Ball told through Dustin's point of view. I felt like it would be better if I just did two separate chapters for the Snow Ball instead of switching POV all the time.

Dustin

I biked home after talking to Molly. I was glad that she didn't have a date. Not in a mean way, because I wanted to go with her, but I was too afraid to ask. I didn't want her dancing with someone else, it would hurt me too much.

"Mom! I'm home!" I called running into the house.

"Hey Dusty," she replied smiling, holding the new kitten Molly and I had named Pudding. "Are you going to get ready for the Snow Ball now? I set out your clothes on your bed okay?"

"Yeah, okay," I said absentmindedly, walking to my room. I opened the door to see a blazer, a nice shirt, some slacks, and a bow tie on my bed. I smiled to myself.

I went to take a shower, washing myself, so I was clean for the dance. I hummed a little as I dried my hair, making sure it was still damp.

I walked back into my bedroom, and changed into the clothes my mom had laid out for me. I looked in the mirror, and I actually felt really confident for some reason. I just felt really good in these clothes.

I waited until Steve arrived, making sure my hair looked okay.

"Dusty! You ride is here!" my mom called still holding Pudding.

"Coming!" I yelled back, rushing to the door.

"Oh you look so handsome! I need one photo, okay?"

"Alright," I replied, smiling as she took a picture.

"Bye Dusty! Have fun!" my mom called as I walked out the door, and got into the car next to Steve.

"Alright buddy. Let's go," Steve said igniting the engine, and driving to my school.

"Okay," I said happily. We pulled up to the school, and I looked at Steve.

"Alright you're going to go in there," Steve said.

"Yeah."

"You look like a million bucks."

"Yeah!"

"You're going to go in there, and you're going to be confident!"

"Like a lion," I replied, doing this purr noise I enjoyed doing.

"Yeah, don't do that," Steve explained and I nodded. "Remember you don't care."

"I don't care," I repeated and Steve nodded.

"You're learning my friend," he said as I got out of the car.

"Thanks Steve!" I called, waving to the high schooler.

I walked through the doors, only to be met with loud music, and the smell of hairspray. I walked over to a table where Mr. Clarke sat.

"Looking very snazzy tonight sir," my favorite teacher complimented.

"Thank you my lord," I replied smiling at him. I walked over to my friends only to be met with laughter.

"What did you do to your hair?" Will asked laughing a little.

"Is there something nesting in it?" Lucas asked touching the top of my head. Mike just laughed a little, looking a little sad.

"No there's not something nesting in it!" I protested, slapping away Lucas's hand. "I worked hard."

"I can see that," Max commented, joining our little group. We talked for a little bit before a slow song started to play. Lucas turned to Max, smiling at her.
