Prior warning: I have never been to court, so I don't know all of the logistics. I am only writing what I know.

•••

Our car pulled into the lot of the courthouse where we would be fighting to put Gordan back behind bars where he belongs.

Ms. Snowden decided to drive us, in case Dad was nervous and shaken up.

He made sure she drove around our sub slowly a couple of times so I became comfortable and didn't have a panic attack.

Matt was outside in his professional suit and tie while he talked on the phone, quickly and quietly. Lawyer stuff, I presume.

I was wearing a pair of black dress pants with a white tank top and light pink cardigan over. Never having been to court, I wasn't positive of proper attire, but Dad said this would work.

Though, I didn't want to stand out like a sore thumb, so I asked Jaycee too. She agreed it was good since I wasn't playing a particular role in the argument.

Like Luke's mom. She was going up as a witness, like both my dad and Luke. She was dressed in a pencil skirt that stopped at her knees and a white blouse, tucked into her skirt.

Matt spotted Dad and I getting out of the car and hung up the phone to meet us.

"You ready for this, man?" Matt asked, giving Dad an encouraging pat on his shoulder, then proceeding to hug him.

This would be a hard day for him.

And Luke's family.

Honestly, it isn't easy for everyone that is here.

Everyone coming is either close with Luke and his family, was close with my mom, or is close with my dad.

"As ready as I'll ever be," Dad confirmed, returning the hug.

"What about you, B?"

I only nodded as I looked around for Luke.

"Luke's inside already with his family," Matt noted with a small smirk. I blushed.

I jumped a little when I felt an arm wrap around my shoulder, but then I noticed it was just Jaycee.

"Don't be embarrassed, B. Matt's like a wizard with this relationship stuff. Hell, he knew I loved Jaycee before I even did," Jackson laughed as he kissed Jaycee's cheek. I smiled softly.

All of the Garfield's were here, except for Carson. Jaycee didn't want him to have to witness this, in case it got ugly. Though I hoped it wouldn't, I had a feeling it would.

Amanda and Jordan came inside with me to find Luke, our parents only a few paces behind us.

"Bobbi," Luke sighed, coming toward me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and tucked his head into the crook of my neck.

"Is everything okay?" I asked once there was some space between us.

"As okay as it can be. Just stressed."

Luke then nodded at the twins who were behind me.

"Is anyone else here?" Jordan asked.

"The Jenkins are, not sure where though."

Ryan approached us with a wave, leaving Ms. Daniels to talk to Matt and Josh.

"Hey guys," Ryan greeted as he put a hand on Luke's shoulder. Jordan did the weird male-head-nod thing and Amanda smiled politely.
