"Sakura-chan! Will you go on a date with me?" he watched the brown haired boy ask the pinkette. Knowing that she will turn him down, he went away.

There was a nice spot in the grass behind a bush where he sat down. It was perfect. There was no one there to disturb him on his break.

Sasuke was training all day, working hard to become stronger in order to...kill a certain someone. He still had a lot to learn, but it will happen eventually.

Hearing footsteps walking by him, he took a peek through the bush to see the boy from earlier sit down under a tree. He recognized the now weeping boy as Yamanaka Koji. Thankfully, he wasn't that close to Ino, the annoying girl that keeps taking glances at him all the time, at least not from what he had heard.

What surprised Sasuke the most was the fact that the boy was crying. Koji wasn't known for being a crybaby, he always had a smile on his face which, honestly, annoyed Sasuke a bit. He has suffered so much and is working hard to get revenge, while this boy's living a care-free life, smiling all the time, not giving a care in the world.It was refreshing to see him like this. 

He almost felt bad for the boy. In fact, he had this urge to go and comfort him.

Finally giving in to temptation, he picked himself up and walked over to the crying boy.

"What's wrong?" Sasuke asked, already knowing the answer. The boy immediately brushed off his tears and smiled up at him. If he hadn't seen him cry a minute ago, his red puffy eyes would definitely give it away.

"It's nothing!" he said with a clearly fake smile.

"You're crying. Is it because of her?" he asked. Sasuke didn't know what to do in this situation, but he wanted to talk to him. Get his mind off of her.

"Hm? Who?" this time, he didn't need to fake it. Sasuke almost face palmed at the boys' obliviousness.

"Nevermind." he said and sat down next to him.

"So....what's your name?" the boy asked awkwardly. Sasuke almost felt insulted. This boy seriously wasn't paying attention to anything. The only person whose name he knew was probably Sakura-chan...

"I'm Sasuke. Uchiha Sasuke." he said in a monotone voice, trying to intimidate the blackette sitting next to him.

"Cool. My name's Yamanaka Koji!" he said and extended his hand for the other to shake.

Sasuke was taken aback by this. Does he not know about the Uchiha Massacre? Is he not going to ask about him being the only survivor and annoying stuff like that? It's not that Sasuke wanted it, it has just become a common thing every time he introduces himself to someone. 

To be honest, it was kind of nice. Maybe this Koji guy isn't so bad...

As the two of them conversed with each other, they got a lot closer. Koji had quickly made him relaxed. He was the only one able to make him feel this way. For the first time in a while, Sasuke was able to have a normal conversation with someone. It felt...nice.

Not realizing it, Sasuke was beginning to grow feeling for this weird boy.

'Maybe one day, we'll be more than friends. When I'm done with Itachi and return back to Konoha, we can...be together...one day?'

'Yeah, one day.'
