It is now New Years Eve and we were all getting ready for the party that Mason some how manage for underaged kids to get in. But I bet he just asked Drew and Drew did something about that. I went to Nathan’s room to grab some clothes. I tossed on a black skirt and a crew-neck sweater. I hopped down the stairs and got a disapproving look from Mason. "Lydia we are going to a bar here and you dressing like a 13 year old will get us all kicked out." Ugh! I really don't want to go in the first place and Mason is just being a butt right now. I rolled my eyes at him walking back upstairs. I then decided to keep the skirt I am currently wearing and change my sweater into a tank-top with a light cardigan over it. I added on a little makeup just for the fun of it, and all of the makeup belongs to Megan.

After getting an approval from Mason, we all finally left the house. I rode in a car with just Nathan and I . "So you ready for tonight?" I asked him to break the silence. "Yeah I kind of am, you know we get to have that New Year’s kiss...." I smile at Nathan and leaned over to kiss him of the cheek. "Yeah we do get to have that kiss tonight."

All five of us met in the parking lot and now Mason is leading the way into the bar. The moment we were inside it was like the wild. People all over the place acting like animals dancing everywhere and the smell of the drinks was just stinking up the air. I took a glance over at Megan and she was just as shocked as I was. I already have a feeling that this is going to be a crappy night.

That night around 10 o'clock I was sitting at the table with Nathan just talking. I know he would rather be going around talking to new people like he always does but it is nice for him just to sit with me and comfort me. I know he still felt bad about our first date. I mean the dude left me, but its okay now but I feel kind of bad. "Nathan if you want to go around and hang out then you can if you want." "Are you sure? I mean I don't want to leave you alone." He insisted. "Its alright you can meet me back here later." I smiled at him. Two seconds later Nathan was up and ready.

Earlier that night I got a text from Nathan saying he will meet back at the table with me a little before midnight. I was bored out of my mind but I was never having any fun from the start-man I feel like I am such a buzz-kill. But then I realized I needed to go pee, sitting around drinking cans of soda will eventually make you go pee.

After a long wait in the bathroom, I checked my phone to see the time. It was 11:40, I should probably start heading back to the table. Walking around making twist and turns, I could not find our table anymore-you know what I don't even know where I am anymore. Its alright I will just start walking around and I should run into somebody I know and problem solved I won't be alone anymore.

Its 11:55 and I was still walking around and I could not find anybody. I shot Nathan a quick text asking where he was but I never got a reply. Seconds passed by, those seconds eventually turned into minutes, as that happens the clock starts to tik-tok. As the clock keeps going time passes by and before you know its one minute before midnight.

Lets face it, I am not going to see Nathan before the clock runs out. I was already near the exit so might as well just get out of this crowded place already. Having the cool winter air breeze through my face is just what I need right now. "Lydia?" A voice behind me said. I turn around to see Nathan there. I stood there smiling at him, at least this night has not come to a complete waste. I slowly walked up to him, "Happy New Years." I said to him. He pulled me close to him and wrapped his arms around me. He tilted my head up, at the point where I am looking into his eyes. Slowly he leaned closer to me and our lips touched.

Happy New Year’s indeed.
