Well, we have two weeks left of school and then summer here we come! After spring break, Nathan and I were what you can say in a 'honeymoon' stage. We spend almost every second we could together. Even at night we would sleepover at each other house just so we could spend more time together.

But now, every since this month started Nathan has been super busy. He was always putting his head in books. I mean we are only juniors its not like we did anything big this year, he’s acting like he has to get into college right now. I haven't talked to him much since we’re always studying, and on the weekends he is taking extra classes.

"Lydia you ready? We should start going to the cafe now." My mom told me. Oh yeah, I forgot the cafe started to open up around mid-April. It was a really big success. Everybody from our school goes there every day. It is such a popular hang out. Megan also got a singing job there, she sings there about 4-5 times a week. For me, I am still paying off the car incident so I will work there all summer but I still get paid a little extra.

When I got to the cafe, it was already pact with people. But then again it is Friday night.

"Hey what can I get you guys?" I asked a random couple for their order.

"We will have a large strawberry smoothie, and can we have two straws in the cup please?" asked the guy.

"Yeah I will bring that up to your table, and that will be $3 please."

I started to enjoy my job, I mean it is a lot of work with making and memorizing different types of drinks, taking orders, and cleaning up but its fun when I have friends around helping me. Megan started to sing and everybody started to dance.

"Lydia?" I heard a voice behind me. I turned around to see Nathan standing there, for some reason he looks different in a way. I ran up to him and gave him a big hug.

"Oh my gosh hey! I haven't seen you in awhile, it was like we were drifting apart. So what are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Oh um, well I am hanging out with some new friends, and I need to talk to you. When do you get off your shift?" I glanced over at Nathan friends, I don't know them at all. I don't think they even go to our school, they look like college guys.

"I don't finish till midnight, whatever you need to tell me you can tell me now. By the way who are those guys? Do I know them?"

"Uh no you don't, they actually go to UCLA and they wanted to meet me since I play football. They think I could get a scholarship. Are you sure you want to talk now? It can wait."

"Yeah sure. So what do you want to tell me?"

"Well I am breaking up with you." My smile faded away, my heart stopped beating. I can't believe he just said that.

"Why?" I had to force that single word out of my mouth.

"I just don't love you anymore. So there was really no point for us to be together anymore." I am trying so hard to hold back the tears. I gave Nathan a simple nod and walked away. 'don't cry, don't cry' was all I am thinking about. He is not worth my tears, I am better than this. I will finish working tonight strong, and I will never cry for Nathan.

It is only 10 so I have two hours left and I am done for tonight. I am so busy that I am not in a mopey mood anymore, I think I can make it through this break up.
