The breeze flew through the air, lifting the once lifeless cherry blossom petals from their trees.
I watched them dance around in the sky.

Dear Readers,
Hello, my name is Kookachue and welcome to 'Spring Day'.
I'd like to take a moment and thank you for choosing to read my novel. I highly appreciated your time and dedication in reading my works.
As of right now this novel is going to be published Sunday February 25 2018, in correspondence to the updating schedule.
I'd like to warn you that there will not be long chapters. I've decided to divide the book into small updates. These will be small chapters but will be in great quantities.
My hope is that once I get the flow of the novella down, I'll be able to update every second day.
The book is also told through past tense, as in these are the main characters memories that are unfolding the story of the novel. The book will switch back to present time only on the very last chapter of the novel.
The chapters that aren't italicized are in present day time.
I've decided to do a seven part series of novellas, each showcasing a different stigma within our society such as suicide, eating disorders, abuse, and more.
Each book is based around a chosen song that becomes a running theme within the book.
This book's song is Spring Day.
As a pre-warning, this book deals with subject themes such as depression, self-harm and suicide.
Do not confuse these for glorified and romantic versions of serious mental states and illnesses.
They are not a joke or a hook in a story, they are simply essential to my character developments and it's my personal mission to bring awareness on such important topics.
In the book I give detailed descriptions of such themes and if it triggers you, I ask that you skip those chapters. I will post a warning with the chapter name so you know.
I'd like to make a personal note by saying, for those of you who have ever dealt with depression or suicidal thoughts, please do not give up. I understand how incredibly hard it is to wake up and fight through the day but I have faith that you can.
Should you ever have suicidal thoughts or are struggling with depression here is a list of numbers you can call and talk to someone. Please do not hesitate to use these.
