Little Mermaid's Chapter One

I swam next to my sister, listening to her rant about some human prince. I didn't want to admit it, but I liked listening to her rant.

"His eyes, did I tell you about his eyes? They were so blue! Like the sky..." Ariel swooned. I nodded, acting like I knew what color the sky was.

"Did you like...speak to him? At all?" I asked. Ariel shook her head.

"I couldn't! Someone was coming." she explained, pouting.

"Right." I rolled my eyes. "Ariel, try to forget him."

"I can't!"

"You're 16!"

"So?"

"You can't think of marriage! It...it just isn't right!" I sighed.

"We'll be seventeen soon! Is that acceptable for you?!" she demanded.

"Fine," I groaned. She squealed, hugging me.

"Thanks, Axe!"

"Yeah yeah." I laughed, patting her head.
