Mr. Harris- Whoever can turn to chapter 5 the quickest gets 5 points on the next test. When you're done raise your hand.

We all nod as we put our books on the desks.

Mr. Harris- Go.

We all start flipping to chapter 5.
I decide to instead of flipping randomly through the book till I find chapter 5, I look at the front of the book to see what page number chapter five is on. I flip to it and raise my hand.

Class- What?! How?! Ugh!

Mr. Harris- Great job Ms. McCall. 5 points on your next test. You're starting off on the right foot. Keep it up.

I smile.

Mr. Harris- Will you tell the rest of the class how you found the page so fast please?

(Y/N)- I just used the front of the book. It says what page each chapter and section is on. Chapter 5 is on page 150.

Mr. Harris- Everyone turn to page 150.

Everyone turns to page 150 and we start working on a paper he hands all of us.
I get done first and then the rest of the class follows as I put my paper in the bin.

The bell rings and is time to go practice for lacrosse. Yay! Still don't like Liam though. It'll take a lot more for me to actually like him than talking to me.
