Jack is dead. Me and Walden were hurrying to go the police station but just as we got out of the house my eyes fell on a pink note standing out against the plain white snow. Me & Walden looked at each other and then, I picked up the note.

I'm sorry for not writing to you for a week, love. But here we are and I really like your new blue overcoat. It looks beautiful on you.

"What does it say?" Walden asked and I handed him the note. He read the note and then fisted it in his hand.

"He knows I bought a new blue overcoat" I said feeling uneasy. I had just bought it two days ago and I had Wendy with me at that time. After reading this note, it's clear he was there watching my every move.

We heard someone's footsteps coming towards us and then we saw the two officers who have been guarding our house since the whole week. Their eyes fell on Walden's angry face and one of them asked "Everything alright, Mr. Austen?"

"Where were you both, Mr. Jackson & Mr. Zen?" He asked them instead of answering.

"We just went for some coffee" Mr. Zen replied and my eyes fell on the cup of coffee in his right hand.

"Well, we just received this" He said and showed them the crumpled note. Both of the officer's eyes widened and they looked at each other.

Before any of them could say anything, Walden said "We need to go to the police station, now." He caught my hand tightly and pulled me with him towards his car.

He drove with a furious look on his face and I placed my hand on his hand which was covering the gear tightly. "It's alright, you are with me and I'm safe."

He didn't say anything and I sighed. It was one of those rare occasions where he would turn completely silent when he's mad at something. Nonetheless, I didn't remove my hand and the car ride to the police station was silent.

Various questions plagued my mind. Who killed Jack? Where is Cade? Both of them disappeared on the same night. Is it the bloody murderer? And what about these notes? Just who is this person? The ultimate question being: Is this all related?

When we reached the police station, Walden got out of the car faster than light and was outside my door before I could open it. What is up with him?

He opened my door and I got out of the car. He took hold of my hand tightly and I looked at him confused. "What's up with-" I couldn't finish my sentence because he shushed me and started walking. I spotted detective Arthur talking to someone once we entered inside the building.

Once he saw us, he dismissed the person he was talking to and motioned us to follow him inside. Walden started walking suddenly and I almost tripped because I had forgotten that he still had my hand in his.

When we sat inside his office Walden asked "Where is officer James?"

"He should be joining us shortly" he said as he sat opposite to us behind a desk. "Did you receive any other note from the stalker?" He asked, finally removing his eyes from my husband.

"Yes, she did." Walden answered for me, his mood becoming sour once again when the topic was brought up again. "Here it is" he put the crumpled up paper on the desk.
