"If we'd still be friends 'til the end."
He kept his mouth shut ever since they grew close. He saw an inevitability that would ruin what they had if she knew. So he tried to make the best of it though his pride wouldn't allow it. He jumped as he felt the girl watching him. Having his guard let down a lot was too much to bare in his little world. Though he wouldn't say to her face even if he had to he loved her to death. He'd protect her from anything dark to keep her heart pure. It was like protecting a porcelain doll, making sure it wouldn't break. And if it were like him to admit it, he cried. He cried for her knowing she would have a terrible fate. Without noticing so, tears leaked from his eyes as he stared at the girl.
He quickly reacted and wiped away the tears.
"It seems like you have been crying a lot lately."
"I haven't been crying."
"You're a horrible liar." She chuckled leaning her head on his shoulder.
"I can't see why you won't tell me, aren't we friends?" His heart began to beat rapidly at the last word that left her mouth.
"I'm alright." He forced the false feeling out of his mouth. Maybe it's best to tell her later.

How peculiar of a day it was. [Name] had woken up in a bad mood. Which in her case was unlikely. Forcing herself to stand up, she dressed herself and pinched her own cheeks. She wanted to smile for everyone.
Walking through the village with a warm smile helped make everyone happy. When she saw Neji in the training grounds a real smile formed on her face. How happy she was to be around him, words couldn't describe. She ran towards him and wrapped her arms around him from behind.
"[N-Name]!" His surprised squeak made her giggle.
"Good Morning Neji-kun." She rested her chin on his shoulder.
"Let me ride on your back."
"No."
"Please."
"N-No."
"Pleeeeaasssseee."
"Stop acting like a child." Neji muttered looking away from her with red cheeks.
"Come on pretty please?" She gave him her best puppy eyes.
"F-Fine." He turned away from her and squatted down. Without a second thought she hopped aboard his back, gripping onto his shirt for support. Neji's blush never left his face.
"Come to think I've never seen your home before yet you've seen mine." The girl declared in his ear.
"Let's go!" She urged, patting his shoulder to make him move.
"You're lucky." Neji began to walk there slowly, feeling her warm breath blow against his ear.
"Neji I have a secret." She whispered in his ear.
"Is that so?" He swallowed the lump in his throat slowly.
"I don't think I'm ready to tell you." Her voice was barely audible though he could hear.
"When the time comes I'm all ears." She smiled at him and buried her face in his neck, making his cheeks become hot.

"It's so clean!" She marveled as she ran in circles around his room. Neji watched her lively movements in awe. He always wondered how someone so happy would exist. He was in content knowing that she was at his side no matter what. His thoughts were interrupted when she sat on his lap. With a big smile she stared at him. [Name] hugged him tightly for the umpteenth time that day. She couldn't help it she felt as if she was supposed to do it a million times. Her cheeks grew hot while she embraced him. Neji pat her head hesitantly as if he were about to break her. If only he could tell her what he knew.

[Name] watched in horror as Neji spoke to Naruto. She tried her best to let her weak legs carry her. She dare not to cry though she wanted to so badly.
She sprinted towards him, softly colliding their foreheads together when she reached him.
"[Name]..."
She stayed silent for a moment.
"Neji I have a secret."
"Is that so?"
"I'm ready to tell you."
"I'm all ears."
"I love you so much."
"Me too."
They both chuckled. They stared into each other's eyes lovingly. [Name] kissed his forehead, making a genuine smile form on his face.
"I love you." She repeated.
"I'll love you million times more."
Her tears began to pour heavily, releasing his face from her hands. She saw how much he was trying to hold on just to say that to her. She watched as his eyes had released the look of life and she sobbed. Her eyes became blurry and she began to lose her balance. This unspeakable fate is what he hid from her.
"Ne...ji..." She reached her hand out to him and fell to the ground.

[Name] began to regain consciousness. Her headache made her light headed as she slowly opened her eyes. They were greeted by bright lights and a white ceiling. After remembering what happened last she jerked her body forward.
She let out an ear piercing screaming, getting the attention of nearby nurses. They rushed to her room and grabbed her arms. She began to hyperventilate as the nurses struggled to hold her down. She frantically shook her head as tears formed in her [color] eyes. Three people entered to room in a hurry to see what was happening. [Name] thrashed around violently until she felt someone's hand on her chin. Her head was tilted back until her eyes were met with a pair of lavender.
"[Name] focus on me." The stern yet smooth voice lulled her. She stopped screaming but breathed heavily.
"Just focus on me." Her eyes released tears as she began to focus on him.
"Are you alright?" She gulped and nodded making the nurses leave the room.
"[Name] you're awake!" She heard Naruto and Sakura wail. [Name] whimpered as she felt the hand release her. She looked down at her hands and sighed. [Name] stared at Neji once again and embraced him tightly to his surprise. Her hugged her back and stroked her hair to calm her down.
"How cute~." Sakura cooed pulling Naruto out of the room.
"I love you [Name] please don't cry."
"I-I can't stop." She choked out, gripping his shirt. He only chuckled and sat on the bed with her. [Name] leaned her head on his shoulder with a cute pout.
"I thought you were really dead."
"I made it though."
"I'll kill you for that."
"W-Wait why?!"
"You made me cry." She folded her arms and looked away.
"You're something else [Name]." Neji put his hand on his cheek and turned her head towards him. She looked at him with a smile and put her forehead against his. Neji hummed and planted a sweet kiss on her lips making her become flustered.
"N-Neji my heart isn't ready!" He continued to kiss her again and again though she declared she wasn't ready.
"What? I can't hear you~?"
"Neji!"
