Crocodile
Present day
Storybrooke

It has been a couple days since the attempted murder, and I have not left the house once.

I look out the window of my bedroom to see dark brown leaves on the ground, no pathway to or from my house.

After I passed out Alec had brought me upstairs and set me down on my bed. I woke up the next morning to see a note on my nightstand.

It read, "Brooklyn, I'm sorry. I left to get updates about Gold. I think getting closer to Emma or Graham will help you out a lot. Don't do anything else stupid... Alec"

He hasn't come back, and I don't think he's coming back.

I don't blame him.

I mean I did walk into our house at 4 in the morning, covered in blood and acting like a psychopath.

I would have ran too.

I decided that I would go to Granny's Diner today because I was done moping around.

I got ready then threw on my shoes and walked outside. The air was cool and the wind was blowing slightly.

It was a nice day for mid-November.

As I walked beside the road, heading back into town, I saw a black car. It looked to be abandoned on the side of the road.

I walked closer to it to see 'Jeep' written on the front in big silver letters. It looked to have been made in the late 70s or early 80s.

I took a look around at my surroundings then tried to open the car door.

It was luckily unlocked.

I climbed into the front seat and hot wired the car.

The engine roars to life and I sit up in the seat and smile. I shut the door then put my foot on the pedal.

The last time I drove a car, I stole it. Of course the cops caught me and I got away...but that was after a speedy chase that ended up with me crashing the car into a tree.

Good times.

As I entered town, all eyes turned towards me. I was given many odd stares as I pulled into Granny's.

I thought I would look around the car before I went into the diner, so I unbuckle my seat belt and open the console and immediately see a key with "Jeep" written on it.

A wide smile spreads across my face as I grab them and put them in my pocket.

I went to open my door and felt it hit something. I look up to meet the eyes of a very angry Regina.

"Yes princess, how may I help you?" I ask condescendingly.

She ignores my comment and says, "it's nice to see your face again Miss Smith."

"I would say the same to you, but then I would be lying," I state as I hop out of the car and close the door.

"I know what you did, Brooklyn." She steps closer, "I'm finally going to win and bring you down."

I smile, "good luck with that."

"You see Brooke, you are nothing to this town. Everyone wants you gone, even-"

I hold up my index finger towards her and say, "Listen, I'm trying my absolute hardest to see things from your perspective, but I just can't get my head that far up my ass."

I could almost see the steam blow out of her ears.

"Is there a problem here, Regina?" I heard a familiar voice call out behind me.

"None of your business, Alec." She then adverts her eyes to me, "You're over Ms. Smith."

And with that she walks away.

I advert my eyes to Alec who stood there awkwardly.

"I guess I'm back," he grinned.

I walk up to him and hug him.

"Don't ever leave me again." I demand as I hold onto him.

"I won't...I promise."
