"Love thy neighbor as thyself."
Love: a feeling that is uncontrollable, yet comforting.
Love is a great thing to have, especially if you have someone to love.
I wrote down all the definitions of love that I can think of in a hospital bed. I love Robert. I love Steven. I love my friends. Trying to stay positive in a hospital bed is really tough. But I will get through. God leads us through stuff that is really hard because He thinks we can make it through.
"Rachael, you have a visitor." Another nurse, Nurse Lin, said.
"W-who is it?" I ask, still groggy from a night's sleep.
"It's me, Robert. How are you doing, sweetheart?" Robert sat down in a chair right next to me. "How are you feeling?"
"Feeling fat. Look at this." I pulled at the fat that got on my body after being in the hospital a few weeks.
"You're gaining weight. It's a good thing. God'll provide and keep you."
"Thank you, Robert, for taking good care of me."
"No problem. Just a question: how long will you be in here?"
"Nurse Lin, how long am I in here?"
"Let me check your chart...Hm...Six more weeks."
"What about school?" I asked.
"I'll help you." Robert volunteered.
"Time for group therapy." Nurse Lin said. "Time for Robert to go."
"Come back tomorrow, please." I begged.
"I will every day. Goodbye." He gave me a kiss on the forehead.
I'm sorry for the short chapter, I've been bogged down with homework, and very tired. Hopefully, there'll be a longer chapter next week. On the bright side, 77 reads in just one month! Thank you so, so much!
