ACT ONE,forgotten home CHAPTER NINE,divination
Iris didn't want to leave her parents, especially right after she had reunited with them, but she did have to go back to school and explain to her dorm mates where she had been the entire night before. She came up with an excuse that she had slept in the common room because it was cold in the room. No one questioned it because she sometimes did that anyway and everybody knew not to question Iris Rosier.
At breakfast, Iris didn't feel like putting up with anybody's antics that morning given the previous nights events. She finally felt like she belonged somewhere and she wasn't ready to let any sort of negativity ruin that.
Draco was telling the Slytherin's a story of things he and Oliver did to Muggles over the summer. Iris rolled her eyes as her brother laughed along just for show, but Iris could tell Oliver wasn't comfortable with a retelling of the events. And he loathed the look of disappointment that Iris had been constantly giving him.
Harry walked by, staring at Iris whose face was beet red as she stabbed at her food, and Draco made a swooning noise. Iris' eyes flashed dangerously at him with a deadly look on her face.
''Potter!'' Pansy exclaimed to Harry. ''The dementors are coming, Potter! Woooo!''
''Oh, for the love of Merlin, shut up!" Iris exlcaimed. Harry, Ron, and Hermione stopped walking and stared at Iris as her eyes darted back and forth between Pansy and Draco. The pair looked genuinely afraid as Iris started going off on them. ''Honestly, Pansy, I would say that I hope dementors suck your soul out, but seeing as your a souless bitch, well...''
Iris shrugged. The Slytherin's 'ooh'ed as Pansy blushed and looked down at her hands. Oliver was begging his sister to stop, but she was just getting started and she hated that they always made fun of people and got away with it. Her electric blue eyes darted towards Draco as she gave him a deadly look.
''And you, Malfoy.'' She hissed. Everyone could see her eyes visibly darkening, it was as if there was a storm waging war inside them. The angrier she got, the darker they did. ''Get a life. Seriously, get a life. The whole you bullying Harry thing, because you're jealous he's The Chosen One and you're not, is so lame. Who the hell cares? It makes you look pathetic and desperate because you can't match up to him.''
''Crushing on Potter now, are we, Rosier?'' Crabbe chuckled. Iris chuckled darkly as she turned towards Crabbe. Harry and Ron and Hermione were exchanging looks of amazement at the girl. The smile on Crabbe's face wiped off.
''Why, you jealous?'' She retorted. ''I'm just sick of you guys being annoying and realizing that literally no one cares anymore. You've been putting on the same act for three years. Drop it. And if I catch any one else making fun of them, well... it won't be pretty.''
