Hey everyone!!! HudaAlazani here with Gaara119! Just some basic questions to get to know her. :)
How did you discover Wattpad?
Haha, the truth is kinda funny... I was searching for Naruto fanfiction, specifically, a Gaara love story. When searching for it Wattpad caught my eye as a reader friendly site, and it placed thousands of virtual books at my fingertips. For a long time I was one of those "silent readers" without an account, but soon I wanted to a) support the amazing books I found, and b) write a fanfic myself! And with that, I joined Wattpad.
Do you enjoy writing?
Of course! Writing comes really easily for me. It's just something that's always been a part of me. For me, writing is just something that happens. I get all these ideas in my head, and if I don't write them down they stay stuck up there. I have thousands of neverending brainstorms in my head. So I write them down. I don't really write like other people, I think. For fanfics I write I don't have a timeline down. It's all just in my head.
How/When did you discover Naruto?
Ooh. Um, I think it was around the time I had finished rewatching Avatar for the umpteenth time, and I finally realized I needed something else to watch. I found Naruto and decided to give it a chance. I nearly quit Naruto after the tenth or eleventh episode, all because of one reason: I didn't watch it in Japanese to begin with, so Naruto's voice was the most annoying thing I've ever heard.
"BELIEVE IT, BELIEVE IT!" Ugh. I couldn't stand it. But I decided to stick with it, and I was justly awarded with a great anime.
From where did you get your inspiration to write your Naruto fanfiction?
I don't even know. I honestly don't know where I come up with half of my ideas. They just kind of come to me. I know part of it is probably my music, but overall the ideas just spring into my mind. I really can't controll it. Once, when reading a story of mine (not a Naruto fanfic. No one knows I'm a naruto fan except for a few people, and no one knows I write fanfiction) my dad just paused and looked up at me and asked, "Where do you get these ideas? Where do they come from?" I just kind of shrugged in response. "They just pop into your head, like that?" "I guess," Was my reply.
So yeah. The ideas just come to me.
Do you plan on continuing this writing path?
I do. I obviously won't be writing fanfics forever, but if I ever decide to officially stop writing fanfics, I'll have to have some authors adopt my ideas. I hate to see a good idea go to waste. But it's better to have it go to waste then have someone write it badly, so I'd have to find some trustworthy writers to adopt my ideas. But I'll probably continues writing fanfics throughout high school, so it's another three years until anyone gets to adopt my ideas!
I might not go into a field that requires writing, but it will always be a hobby of mine, even if I never get published.
What are the ups and downs of being a Naruto Fanfic writer?
The downs are DEFINITELY those irritating arcs. I don't think I'm going to be capable of writing the Zabuza arc ever again, and I've only written it once. It just seemed so repetitive. The hard part is finding the balance between details and not boring the reader with the same sentence they've read twenty times before. The ups are the comments! I love, love, love, all the comments I get on my stories. I try to respond to at least one comment per person. I would like to respond to more (and if it's a long, realy comment, not just "update" I almost definitely will respond) but I have a busy life!
How has Wattpad affected you? In a good or bad way?
Definitely in a good way, no question about it. Wattpad has given me confidence in myself, not only as a person but as a writer. I'm more social now, though I'd still rather read a good book than socialize. But I'm much more talkative and less hesitant to insert my views and opinions into a conversation. Not to mention that I've made AMAZING friends on this sight *cough* supermassiveblckhole Scribble HudaAlazani*cough* and many others, haha. I have way too many friends on Wattpad to list here.
Last question,
What advice do you give to beginners in the Naruto fanfic area?
There is a TON of advice I could give to starting fanfic writers, but I'll keep it down to one piece of advice.
1. Grammar.
This simple thing is a HUGE part of writing! I'm not kidding; when I see something as an "i" where there should be "I" or "to" instead of "too" or commonly misspelled words
If you don't read any of her stories, GO NOW NOW NOW.... SHE'S amazingly awesomely fantastically fabulous. :D
