"I mean I do have to say, Hunter," Adrian laughed. "You are predictable." I picked up the empty glass and threw it at him. Unfortunately, he moved and it smashed against the wall.

"I'll make sure Bella and Elijah will get the treatment they deserve." He strutted to the door and walked out. And you know what? I let him.

I sat back down at my desk with my head in my hands. The half-full bottle of bourbon sitting on the edge of my desk. I stared at it for a second before I grabbed it and started drinking. There was nothing I could do.

Bella's POV

Eli laid his head on my shoulder fast asleep. He looked adorable. I took my phone out to take a picture because I'm sure Hunter wouldn't mind seeing Eli again.

As I was taking the picture, I noticed the driver kept looking back at me through the mirror. Confused, I shifted uncomfortably in my seat. Maybe he's just one of those guys.

"Excuse me, do you think we could make a stop I have to meet my friend at his work to drop off some files?" I watched as he seemed to be a little uncomfortable. Maybe it's me.

"Y-yea we can stop. Where is it?" He coughed trying to cover up the nervous shaking in his voice.

"Brewer street, I can show you the building when we get close." He nodded and kept driving.

I sent the picture to Hunter.

Doesn't he look so cute??
Also, your driver is acting a little weird.
-Bella

You and Eli need to get out of that car as soon as you can. That's not one of my guys.
-Hunter

Well, now it makes sense. I put my phone back in my pocket and pretended to be looking after Eli. I decided just to wait until we went to 'give' my friend his files.

This is just getting old now. Can't I just live my life with my son? Not much later we got to Brick Street so I directed him to a random building and got out of the car.

"I'm gonna bring Eli, I'll be right back." The guy nodded and let me walk off and down the street. And I didn't go back, my luggage isn't that important. I found a busy coffee shop and went inside. After telling the manager what was happening, he let me stay in the back room with him until someone I knew came.

I texted Hunter and let him know everything was ok. Hopefully, he didn't go absolutely mental over there. Knowing him he probably sent some army over here.

After a while of waiting here, one of my model friends came and helped me get back to my house safely. I didn't want to explain everything to her because I think she would call me crazy.

When I got back to the house the whole atmosphere just seemed off. I turned on the lights and saw a half of the items gone. The couch, tv, appliances all gone. What did you do Joe?

I walked into Eli's room and laid him down since he was still out. I checked the rest of the house to make sure no one was in here. I just know something crazy like that would happen too if it wanted to.

Once the house was clear, I had to see how much Joe had taken. Just to be clear none of the stuff he had in this house was his besides his bathroom stuff and clothes.

At least he left the mattress in the bedroom for me and the carpet on the bathroom floor.
