Even if I feel uncomfortable, I managed myself to walk in stage and placed myself in the middle, where the keyboard and chair was placed. Itinapat ko ang bibig ko sa mikropono at sinubukan ito.
"Hello, mictest." Biglang natahimik ang kabuuan ng lugar at naramdaman ko ang tingin ng lahat sa akin. Mas lalo akong kinabahan kaya huminga ako ng malalim.
On the bar counter, I saw DJ which is staring at me intently but there's a smile on his lips now which I didn't saw him wearing just awhile back. It's as if his smile is telling me that he's proud of me. I took a deep breath and sighed.
I clicked some of the keys on the keyboard and I didn't receive any reactions from the crowd which is better rather than bash. What I'm going to sing is Say you won't let go of James Arthur.
Tinapos ko ang kanta na nakatingin lang kay DJ. He's smiling widely and right after I finished the song, he was the first one who clapped his hands. Naghiyawan naman ang mga nanunuod at pumalakpak din.
I smiled shyly at them and stood up to leave the four corners of the stage. Sinalubong ako ng Amber sa backstage. Si Lara ay tumitili at pumapalakpak, todo ngiti naman ang Nostalgia at niyakap ako ng mahigpit ni DJ.
"Damn, I am so proud of you, Love." he whispered huskily and I shivered.
"Perfect! The crowd wants more, sweetheart. Gusto mo bang mag-part time rin sa amin? I mean, you have a good voice and you should earn from it," nakangiting saad ni Rain.
"I don't think I can."
"Come on, hindi naman kita pahihirapan. Four or five songs every Saturday or Sunday and I'll give you 2 thousand box." Rain said trying to convince me.
"You already did, Kath Come on, you're good at singing, atsaka makakasama mo naman kami lagi kasi hindi kami papayag na hindi ka kasabay ng schedule namin." Nakangiting saad ni Calvin.
I look at DJ, asking for his permisision.
"They're right. I guess you need to try it, Love." DJ said as he planted soft kiss on my temple. I sighed and nodded slowly.
"S-Sige po." Muli ay pumalakpak si Rain at tumili sa tuwa.
"Amber, maghanda na kayo!" saad ni Rain at agad kaming tinalikuran.
Pagka-akyat ng Amber sa stage ay lumabas din kami ng backastge. Rain finds a seat for us three so we can watch Amber perform too. Rain raised his right hand as if he's trying to call someone; agad namang may dumating na waiter.
"Order anything you want, sagot ko." Nakangiting saad niya sa amin ni Lara.
"I'll just have orange juice," saad ko habang si Lara at Rain ay um-order ng beer. My brow furrowed as I saw three buckets of beer. Ang isang bucket at may anim na laman.
They're drinking while we are watching the Amber perform. Tahimik lang kami sa p'westo namin na nanunuod. Puno nang sigawan ang kabuuan ng lugar.
Calvin's voice is wonderful; he's even charming when he's singing the reason why girls and gays want to drool over him. Alam ko na siya ang nagdadala sa banda nila at malaking epekto kung mawala siya.
I can only imagine if what would happen if we already go. Alam ko na hindi na magiging kagaya ng dati ang banda. And I frowned at the idea of them, being disband. I know how DJ loves this band and how fond of music he is.
"Ilang kanta ang tinatapos nila tuwing may gig sila?" I asked Rain and Aya trying to open up a conversation.
"Eight to Ten." Rain replied with a smile. Marahan akong tumango at hindi na ulit nagsalita.
