Mckayla's Point Of View:
"Hey Mckayla!" Jack exclaims. What? I thought he was on the dark side?
"Oh, uh, hey," I mumble.
"Sup," Jerry nods in my direction.
Okay?
"Hey," I mutter.
"Mckayla!" Jazz exclaims.
"Hi girl!" I yell, squeezing her into a tight hug.
"The Talk Room, now," I whisper in her ear.
"Alright," she sighs.
When we get to The Talk Room, I start to spill everything that has happened.
"Yeah, so then Jerry nods in my direction and says sup!" I shout. "Why are they being so nice to me? Why the sudden change of attitude?"
"Honestly, I think it's because of what you said to George yesterday, Mckayla," Jazz explains. "You said not to mess with you, so now they're being nice."
"Well, I'll see what happens," I sigh. "See you around Jazz."
"Hey Mckayla, do you want to come to the mall after school today with me?" I hear a female ask.
I whip around to see Anna, smiling at me through her icy eyes. But they seemed different now, more of a kinder, softer look to them.
"Uh, sure?" I say.
"Coolio!" she squeals.
Throughout the whole day, numerous times Anna, Jerry, and Jack came up to me and was friendly. But I haven't heard from George, not that I care. They were so mean to me the whole school year, and now they're being nice to me? I don't get it. I don't want to be friends with them right away, they hurt me and I don't know if I could ever forgive them. But eventually, I will see that they really care and aren't faking it. That is the day that I will truly forgive them. That's the day I will say they are my friends. But not for a while. I need time to heal my broken heart.
But my heart has been patched with Band-Aids by Jazz. She's helped me with the bullying, she's helped me through it all.
I have been saved.
