It's been a few days since Red patched up Jacob's arm and she hasn't seen him since, but he has seen her. He saw her when she was hunting, he watched her with awe in his eyes as she handled the sniper and got perfect shot after perfect shot on her targets. As she climbed down the ladder of the hunting perch Jacob wandered away and went back to his duties, knowing that she hadn't seen him and wanting it to stay that way.

She was shooting at some tin cans, her self made target range, when she heard the sound of trucks driving towards her. Putting the gun in her holster and running into her cabin, she grabbed an assault rifle and went back outside followed by Lupin.

As soon as she stepped outside two white trucks pulled up, the cult. She readied her weapon, ready to defend her life and land. Had Jacob finally come to kill her or convert her?

Five cultist all together climbed out of the trucks and aimed their guns at the woman in the red hood. One of them unhooked the radio from his belt and began to talk into it, he was saying numbers...coordinates. Red cursed under breath and before she could react Lupin had charged towards the cultists. Red eyes widened and everything happened in slow motion, Lupin had managed to kill one cultist but another two began shoot at him.

The woman jumped into action as she shot at the two cultists, successfully taking them both out. She ducked behind her own truck as the two remaining cultist shot in her direction, it wasn't too difficult for her to poke her head up when she heard them reloading and kill them. She smiled to herself but her smile quickly fell when she saw Lupin laying lifelessly on top of one of the cultist.

Red went to run towards her beloved Judge but froze when she felt cold metal being pressed to the back of her head, she knew it was a gun. The cultist behind her cocked the gun and she closed her eyes, the cultist stopped what they were doing when another truck pulled up. Red heard a car door open and close so see opened her eyes, greeted by the sight of Jacob.

"Drop the gun little Red" he ordered strongly, her gaze flickered to Lupin before looking back at Jacob. She sighed and slowly placed the gun on the floor, kicking it towards him. Jacob looked down at the wolf by his feet, bending down for a moment to check its pulse. Red knew that Lupin was gone when Jacob stood back up blankly.

"You took out five of my best men all by yourself, I'm almost impressed" Jacob commented before gesturing for the cultist behind her to leave. The cultist lowered the gun and walked around the small woman, standing beside Jacob. The soldier said something to the cultist and the smaller man nodded before climbing into one of the trucks and driving away.

"I suppose I fought in vain" Red spoke sorrowfully as she glanced back at the poor wolf before averting her eyes and looking back at Jacob.

"You where rewarded your life, I wouldn't call that fighting in vain" he shrugged as glanced around at the bodies of his dead men.

"You aren't going to kill me?" Red asked, shocked that the man wasn't going to kill her after she just killed some of his men.

"You are strong, I will give you that. So, no I won't kill you but I do have another proposition" he hummed as he walked towards her, stepping over a cultist's corpse.

"I am not joining your creepy cult" she shook her head, she had no intention in becoming one of them and becoming apart of their holy war or whatever Joseph preached about.

"I'm not asking you to join Eden's Gate. Our numbers grow everyday and everyday we have more control over hope county but we are running low on specialists, especially when Faith turns them into damn angels" Jacob began to explain as he stood in front of the woman. "My last good medic was just taken from me, Joseph thinks he would serve him better" the grumbled a little before reaching for Red's hood, she had only just noticed that he was unarmed.

"What are you saying?" Red asked, finding enough confidence with in her self to speak as the man lowered her hood to reveal her face and hair.

"I need a new medic and according to this" he showed her his arm, the wolf bite was almost completely healed at this point, "you are very capable" he complimented blankly.

"You want me to be your medic?" She asked, completely stunned by the offer.

"Tell me Little Red, how do you make your money?" Jacob asked and placed his hands on her shoulders. There was a good foot in height difference between the two of them and this only intimidated Red more.

"The odd job here and there, help people around the region. It's not consistent work but it pays pretty well" the girl explained, still tense from Jacob's grip on her shoulders.

"A better living can be made as my medic. Your land and life will no longer be threatened and you will even have the protection of my men, I can't see a negative to this" Jacob commented and tightened his grip on the girls shoulders.

"I don't believe in what your brother preaches, damn I don't even believe in God. Surely you wouldn't consider such a sinner as your medic" she spoke quietly, finding it hard to find her voice when she looked up into those blue eyes.

"Believer or not, you are skilled" he shrugged and removed his hands from her shoulders, she found herself missing the sensation. "Last offer, do you want the job or not?" He asked and walked towards his truck.

Usually Red would say no, of course I don't want to be apart of this messed up cult, but as she scanned the dead bodies around her once safe home she realised how dangerous it is. The cult would find her eventually and kill her, Jacob wouldn't save her again if she had nothing to offer. She knew that she could be safer and prevent this sort of thing happening again is she just said yes. "Yes, I accept" Red nodded.

"Pack your bags I will be back tomorrow morning to pick you up" Jacob ordered as he climbed into the truck.

"To pick me up?" Red asked with wide eyes, tugging her hood back up.

"If you are going to be my medic, I am going to need you nearby" the soldier rolled his eyes before closing the door of his truck and driving away.

Red was stunned once again as she watched him drive away. That night she buried Lupin's body behind the cabin and packed her bags ready for tomorrow. She had no idea what to expect from living with the cult and spending time around its members. She trusted Jacob for whatever reason, to her he seemed the most sane and he didn't seem to believe in the teachings as much as the others. She was worried about what would happen if she met the others. Would Faith drug her and turn her into an angel? Would John take her and make her atone? Would Joseph brain wash her into becoming another cultist? The possibilities terrified the young woman but she still took the job, she still wanted to work for Jacob.
