When shots break out at a high school party, Isaiah King finds himself alone and driving anywhere away from the house flashing red and blue. On his journey to nowhere, he finds a curly-haired musician that might end up changing his life forever.

There are hundreds of lgbt books on wattpad. There are hundreds of gay books on wattpad. There are very few lgbt books about people of color on wattpad. There are little to no lgbt books about a leading black male and a leading Mexican American male falling in love on wattpad. There are little to no books on wattpad with a majority poc cast. 

That needs to change. 

Because everyone deserves representation. 

And everyone deserves a chance to get their story told, to actually relate to something.

I refuse to let Oakland be simple. Because life isn't simple, especially for people of color. 

There are so many hardships. Sexuality, mental health, and so much more. I want to make this book as realistic as possible. To give you all something different from your typical wattpad love story.
