Chapter 12: Devin

Hearing the school bell go off made me smile in happiness. I was eager to get out of school and catch a few z's. I was exhausted from all the learning because it was boring as hell(not that you dont know that already).

Getting into my car, I make my way home and before I know it, I'm collapsing on top of my bed, ready to be engulfed in dreamland.

"..thought you'd never call," I hear a familiar voice say, which I later recognize as my brothers. I sit up groggily and give out a long yawn. I stretch, hearing a pleasing crack go throughout my body. Then I stand up and decide to go down to the living room. I watch Connor as he smiles at the phone, and I couldn't help but wonder who's on the other side of the line.

But first of all, what is Connor doing here? I thought he was at his college dorm? What's the point of dorming if he's almost always here?

"Hey, Connor? Why are you here? .... Again?" I ask him once I see him pass by me with his cellphone.

"Wait, hold on for a sec." I hear him say to whoever he was speaking to. Turning to face me he says, "Uh.. I live here?"

I cross my arms, "You know what I mean."

"What? I can't see my parents and chill with my awesome brother?" he gives me an innocent smile but he already knows I know he's lying.

I roll my eyes, "Seriously, Connor. You should be learning."

"Exactly," he replys.

I roll me eyes once again, "You're not the type to skip school so seriously, whats up Connor?"

"My roommate," I hear him groan.

"What about him?"

"Thats the thing," he groans again. We fall into a comfortable silence before he finally decides to finish his sentence, "he's gay."

It takes me a while before the words registered in my mind and I finally burst out laughing. "N-no way!" I say through my fits of laughter and before I know it I'm on the floor, pounding my fists on the floor.

"This is not funny," Connor says. Then suddenly, I hear laughter on the phone, Connor groans and puts the phone on his ear, "Oh please! Not you too!" I laugh harder. "This is so not funny!" he whines.

"This is so funny. No, this is hilarious."

"Do me a favor brother and shut up," Connor gives me glare and I couldn't help but laugh harder if that was any possible.

"Aw, brother, you know I can't do that."

"Uh, yes you can. Normally, I have nothing wrong with gay people.. but this guy.. Well, he's.."

"Let me guess. H-he's attracted to you or something?" I ask, ignoring his reply.

I see his face pale a bit, and I start to laugh so hard that no sounds is even coming out of my mouth. I must've looked like some retarded, clapping seal.

"Sh-shut up," Connor stutters. I still could hear the laughter on the phone. "Both of you, please."

"I think you should give him a chance, Connor," I was surprised I even managed to say something through my laughter.

Connor gives me a glare before the person on the phone says something, which I couldn't hear because, well, they were on the phone. Whatever they said just sounded like some weird muffled noise.

"Oh what? You're siding with my brother?" Connor says to the phone, then he glances at me and back to phone. I hear him groan. "You guys are never gonna let this go are you?"
