IT HAD ALREADY BEEN AN HOUR SINCE LEAH FREED HERSELF OF THE EMOTIONS SHE ONCE REPRESSED. Her head resting on Ingrid's shoulder, she was no longer weeping. She sat up and looked at the blonde, eyes red and moist and tear stains tracked all over her cheeks, the corners of her mouth twitching slightly upwards.

"Thank you." Her voice barely above a whisper.

Ingrid returns her thanks with a grin. "What are friends for?"

Leah blinks at her and directs her gaze downwards, her hands forming into fists, avoiding eye contact.

"Friends?" She questions.

Ingrid internally chuckles and clasps Leah's hand with her own and reaffirms her previous statement. "Friends."

Leah analyzes Ingrid, assessing whether or not her words are genuine. She bares her gums, a bonafide smile slowly overtaking her features.

"Leah, I know you were hurt by Emily and Sam, but I know that you know that is was not their fault." Ingrid starts. Leah's smile falters. She opens her mouth to speak, but Ingrid beats her to it. "No one asked me to discuss this with you. This is just me trying to be a good friend. I understand how much heartache they caused you, but it also caused them pain, knowing that you, somebody they both deeply care about, suffered the consequences."

"How would you know anything about how I felt?!" Her lip curled, she rips her hands away from Ingrid's.

"I have spent over a thousand years on this godforsaken planet. Betrayed countless times, many of which resulted in nothing but death." Ingrid's voice turns bitter and mournful. "I ran for over a thousand years from Mikael, having to leave those I loved behind. I hope that no one ever has to endure the torment I have gone through." She finished, her vision turning cloudy.

Ingrid looks at Leah then behind her to see the pack, Pauls gaze sympathetic, his mouth half-open struggling to find the right words to say.

She speeds away.
