INGRID HAD WOKEN UP TO THE SHRILL SOUND OF HER ALARM RINGING. She groaned and tried to ignore the irritating noise and flipped over, reaching her hand out only to feel the coldness of the sheet. She patted around seeking warmth, but was left disappointed. She opened one eye and was greeted with an empty space.

It must have been his shift for patrol. She sighs out of loneliness.

Ingrid didn't feel like putting much effort into her outfit, ever since she started having morning sickness she's tried to dress more comfortably than she usually would. Since her stomach was feeling slightly queasy, she concluded to herself that she should continue wearing looser clothes. She went over to Paul's side of the bed, picking up his discarded sweatshirt and walked over to the dresser, pulling out a pair of black leggings before stepping into her uggs.

Once she finishes dressing, she bounces right back into bed hoping that resting will help with the nauseousness, her hand caressing her stomach absent-mindedly.

She hadn't really had anything planned today. Freya wasn't going to be there for a few days at most, but she was worried for her twin. He and Leah had hit it off, both understanding the other's past when it came to being in a relationship. Leah had been scarred by Sam and Klaus by Camille.

How Ingrid missed the blonde beauty, she had brought out the best in her brother, but she was taken from them. The female hybrid longed for her dear friend greatly.

Ingrid didn't know what Klaus was going to do, after all, he had to return to New Orleans, he had obligations as a father. She's seen him with Leah and she knows that the shifter has affected Klaus in the best way possible, greater than the way Camille did, vice versa. She only prayed that he would figure something out so that he can be with the woman he's come to care for and the daughter he fought vigorously to protect. She hadn't seen much of her younger sister either. She had been bonding with Jacob and Ingrid was grateful for him sticking by her when Bella attacked her with that malicious word.

Rebekah had been scorned by love time and time again, she had only wanted to live a normal life, but being Mikaelson never gave her that chance. Each lover she gained in her many years of life had either been slaughtered by Klaus, betrayed her, or had died at her hand. Ingrid was glad that after a thousand years worth of heartbreak, her little sister finally received her shot at happiness.

Ingrid also couldn't forget how Katerina pretty much has separation anxiety when she's away from Embry. She was elated that her best friend found someone that loved her and she could love in return. Kat had made mistakes, she had driven people to hate her when she was a vampire, but then again when she was immortal she was manipulative and a backstabber. She was glad that she created a way so that she could have the life she was so desperately craving for.

Kat had always been jealous of Elena, she truly did fall in love once upon a time with Stefan Salvatore but could not return the feelings his brother, Damon, held towards her. But Ingrid could see that the love Katerina had for Embry was different than the one she had for Stefan, it was stronger. The look in her eyes when she looked at Embry and the way he looked at her could rival that of the Petrova Fire that Kat spoke proudly of. Her strength was no longer the fire that was within her, but the man she loved. Embry.

She couldn't believe that everyone she cared about finally had someone. She was even more surprised when the universe paired her up with Paul, but she wouldn't change it for the world. He gave her a place to go home to, while some may not enjoy the rain or the rare sunny days she did.

She always felt at peace when it rained, it calmed her.

Although Ingrid knew she loved the cabin they lived in, her true home was Paul. She loved his warmth and no matter how many times he would say it's a wolf thing she would always retort with "It's a Paul thing." Everyone else saw him as the hothead of the pack, the one who would get angry the fastest and simmer down the slowest. But Ingrid saw him as a giant teddy bear in disguise with an unending appetite and also the man who she was proud to call the father of their children and hopefully one day her husband.

La Push blessed three Mikaelsons and a reformed Petrova. It gave them each someone they had been lacking.

Someone that they know will never abandon them.

Someone that they can trust wholeheartedly and count on.

And someone that will love them, despite their past indiscretions, for who they are as a person, not who the supernatural world made them out to be.

They each obtained the life that was ripped away from them, the life they were meant to have.

Ingrid was taken out of her thoughts by the creaking of a door. She widened her eyes in terror, her body trembling.

In the doorway stood Isabella Swan but that wasn't what frightened the pregnant woman, it was the white oak stake that she had in her hands.

"Where did you get that?" Her voice strained, "We destroyed all of them." Ingrid knows that she could defeat the brunette quickly and normally she would take the risk, but the circumstances changed ever since she and Paul found out they were going to be parents.

She no longer had to look out for just herself, but also the two babies that lay in her womb.

Bella walks towards her as she backs up against the headboard. She watches as Bella raises the hand that she had clenched into a fist, open it, and blows the powder she held into her face. Ingrid starts screaming the moment she inhales it and it makes contact with her eyes and she passes out from the pain. Burn marks can be seen on her face, slowly but surely healing.

Vervain and Wolfsbane.

Bella grins satisfied and makes a move to grab the unconscious hybrid.

Ingrid begins to open her eyes, her vision blurred, yet she can tell she's in some type of cell. She grunts as she feels her head throb and goes to rub her pressure points to ease her headache when she discovers she can't move her hands past her shoulders. She looks down and sees chains on her wrists and her ankles, preventing her from moving too much. She puts a hand on her stomach, reassuring herself with the twins' presence.

"Ingrid? What are you doing here?" Someone whispers questioningly.

"Who's there?" Ingrid asks, apprehensive of the strange yet familiar voice.

"Ingrid?" She hears another voice, this one rougher than the other. A voice she could never forget, and then she puts the pieces together.

She looks forward and sees two silhouettes, chained as well. Once she moves her head to see them in what little lighting there is, the names roll off her tongue in confusion and sadness. "Mother? Father?" A tear sliding down her cheek.
