On board the escape ship, Ingrid watched along with the others as Asgard was engulfed in flames as Surtur dragged his giant sword around the city. "The damage is not too bad. As long as the foundations are strong, we can rebuild this place. It will become a haven for all people and aliens of the universe..." As Korg finishes his inspirational speech the floating city is decimated by a violent blast of energy. Asgard is gone. Forever.

"Nope, those foundations are gone. Sorry." Ingrid looks at the place that she once called home and couldn't help but feel a pang of regret. "What have I done?" Thor whispers to himself as he looks at the place he loved so fondly and that was the only place in the universe he felt safe and loved. But as he feels Ingrid's hand slip into his, he couldn't help but feel happy as he couldn't find those emotions again in a place, but he found them in a person.

"You saved us from extinction. Asgard is not a place, it's a people." Heimdall's wise words end the somber viewing and everyone goes off in their own direction. Ingrid enters where Thor was as he looked at himself in the mirror, specifically his missing eye which is now cleaned and replaced with a patch. Ingrid wraps her arms around him and they look at each other through the mirror.

"I think you're handsome, regardless of how many eyes you possess." Thor lets out a soft chuckle before turning to embrace her in his chest. "Do you think I did the right thing? Causing Ragnarok?" Ingrid sighed out before looking up at him.

"Yes. Hela was a monster with no redeeming qualities and the only way to bring her to her end was Ragnarok. You made an impossible decision and I believe it was the right one. Time will tell if it was, at least." Thor smiled at her before looking up and locking eyes with his brother who was about to awkwardly leave to try not to interrupt their moment. Ingrid turns and sees Loki and decides to give the brothers some alone time and instead go and see how Valkyrie was holding up. Walking into the more common area, she spots her easily due to her bright gold and blue armor that the two were both wearing.

"Valkyrie, how are you holding up?" Usually, when the two had an in-depth talk they'd have a drink in their hand. But this time, the two were as sober and somber as can be. "The weird thing about seeing Asgard blow up was that I didn't feel sad. Sakaar had been my home for so long, I had forgotten what Asgard meant. In truth, it wasn't my home." Ingrid brought Valkyrie in and the two hugged before making their way to the side of Thor's new throne. Ingrid watches as Thor makes his way through the crowd to the chair overlooking the entire universe with a smile on her face and pride in her heart.

"Your throne," Valkyrie tells him in a joking manner, but they all knew that she would be willing to fight to the death for him after he brought purpose back into her life. Thor looks at Ingrid as he hesitates to take a seat on the throne, but a gentle nod from the Valkyrie reassures him and he sits. "So, King of Asgard. Where to?" Heimdall asks Thor who looks unsure and starts looking at the people by his side.

"I'm not sure. Any suggestions? Miek, what's your home planet?" He asks causing Ingrid to almost tell him he's unconscious before Korg clears up the confusion. "Oh, Miek's dead. I accidentally stepped on him on the bridge, I've just felt so guilty I've been carrying him around all day..." Korg looks depressed and for a brief moment, the all wallow in their own sadness before the alien wiggles to life causing Korg to light up and everyone to be confused.

" Miek, you're alive! He's alive everyone! What was your question, bro?" Thor ignores Korg and instead decides to take charge of their destination. "Earth it is."

Ingrid stands beside Thor and his brother as they look out into the cosmos with a smile on their faces. Loki hated to admit it, but he didn't mind the company of the Valkyrie on the small amount of time they had interacted on the ship. "Do you really think it's a good idea to go back to Earth?" Ingrid had been informed of what Loki had done on earth. So she knew that they wouldn't exactly be throwing a welcome back party for him.

"Sure! They love me there. I'm very popular." Ingrid rolled her eyes at Thor's lack of modesty causing Loki to let out a small chuckle. "Let me rephrase: Do you really think it's a good idea to bring me back to Earth?" Thor smiles and pats his brother on the shoulder before pulling Ingrid closer.

"Probably not. But don't worry brother...I've got a feeling that everything's going to work out." Everyone felt as if they were about to have a new start to their life and explore the galaxy. But as the trio smiled, their eyes darted to the window where a ship five hundred times the size of theirs flew into view and it was easy to assume that the intent was bound to be malicious.

"Oh, Fuck."

RAGNAROK OVER. INFINITY WAR AND TEARS HERE WE COME!!! I look forward to writing Infinity war and although it won't be that long, I am going to include Infinity war part 2/Avengers 4 in this book so it isn't just on its own. And depending on how this movie goes, that might be it for the Ingrid and Thor love story. But we'll see about that in a year.

Thanks, Queenie.
