The Boat

One week later
Francis's point of view
It has been one week since I was stabbed, my would has healed now. The knife didn't go that far in. it hurt a lot. But Mary has been taking care of me. She's so sweet. I looked at her, she was laying on top on me sleeping, she was naked. We did a lot of celebrating last night, our wedding day was set yesterday. "Francis" she said "Yes Mary." I smiled "I think you should go get me some breakfast." She said "Did you work up an appetite after last night?" I asked laughing. "Yes I did, we did a lot of new things." She giggled "Well I have so many more new ideas." I said then put my hands down her waist. "Oh why don't you show me." She said "Oh I will." I said then pulled the sheet over us and kissed her, she pulled the sheet off of us. "But go get me muffins and fruit first." She smiled "Do I have to?" I pouted "Yes." She giggled "Mary Stuart you torture me." I said pulling her onto my lap. "Go get me food." She smiled "As you wish" I said then kissed her. She smiled then I put my pants and shirt on. I was about to walk out when Bash came in. He looked at Mary "Oh my God." He said then turned around facing the wall. Mary pulled the sheet over her. "Bash you can't tell anybody!" She said "I won't!" He said "Francis!" She said "What?" I asked "Why didn't you lock your door?" She asked "People usually knock!" I said "I'm going to go." Bash said then walked out. Mary started crying. "Mary it's okay, Bash won't tell anyone." I said "I know he won't. And I know this seems stupid, but this couldn't ruin me Francis. I would be shamed." She said "I know, I know, I'm sorry I should have locked the door." I said, she hugged me. "I'm sorry I don't get why I'm making such a big deal out of this." She said "It's okay, I'm not mad. I love you." I said stroking her hair. "I love you too." She said "Go get my food now." She giggled while she wiped her tears. "Do you want anything else?" I asked "I want you be my husband." She said holding my face in her hands. "I want you to be my wife, but we will have to wait a little longer." I said, she kissed me. "Just lock the door next time, okay?" She said "There's going to be a next time?" I asked "Of course, why wouldn't there be?" She replied "I just thought you wouldn't want to risk it." I said "Oh I'm willing to risk it." She smiled "Oh are you?" I said getting on top of her. "I wasn't joking about my food." She giggled "I didn't think you were." I laughed, she loves food. I kissed her then walked out to the hall "Francis what are you thinking?" Bash asked "Your going to ruin her!" He added "Bash we're being carful." He said "Carful? If we're being careful then why did I just catch you two?" He asked "It was just you, it's not a big deal." I said "Yes this time it was just me but what if it's a priest next time?" He said "Why would a priest come into my room?" I asked "That's not the point and you know it. It's that Francis, your so happy with Mary, she makes you a better person. And you know I'm not one to judge based on who my mother is but I know Mary doesn't deserve to be treated the way my mother is, unlike my mother she never did anything wrong. I understand that you and Mary love each other, I'm just saying that if your going to keep doing what your doing you need to be a lot more careful." He said "I know, your right." I said "Where are you going now?" He asked "To get her breakfast." I said "You really do love her don't you?" He asked "I do." I said "Well go get her breakfast." He laughed then patted me on the back and walked away. I'm glad Bash is my brother. "Francis." Mary stepped out of my room wearing my shirt. "Yes?" I smiled "I have an idea." She said "And what's that love?" I asked closing the door behind us. "We could go out sailing." She said "That sounds like fun." I said then kissed her. "Wait you do know how to sail right?" She asked "Of course I do." I laughed "Good then let's go." She said then kissed my cheek. "What about breakfast?" I asked "I can ask the servants to get a picnic ready while we go get a boat." She said "Okay sounds good." I said then kissed her forehead. Then we both got ready and we met in the boat house. "You look stunning." I said "You don't look horrible." She giggled "Wow what a compliment." I laughed "I know you should feel flattered." She giggled "Oh I do." I said then kissed her. "Why don't we go in that one?" She smiled "That ones good." I smiled then out the window I saw Condé, I know he was the one who stabbed me. "Francis it's okay, they will find out who did eventually." Mary said stroking up and down my arm. "I know it was him." I said "I know love, just try not to let him bother you. I heard a rumor he's leaving today for his great voyage across the sea." She said "He will be missed." I said sarcastically. "yes, dearly" she giggled "Okay who should I get to carry the boat to the water?" She asked "Were going to carry it." I said "Your joking." She said "No I'm not." I said, yes I was but its funny to see her all mad. "You can carry it yourself." She laughed "That's not very nice." I laughed "Too bad." She giggled "I'm kidding, I'm not carrying that huge boat." I laughed, she playfully hit my chest and walked out of the boat house. I quickly follow after her and held her hand from behind. "It's kind of cold to be on the water." I said "Oh hush, your always cold." She said "Your so mean to me." I said putting my hands around her waist. "I think you can handle it." She giggled "I don't think I can." I said "I will just have to make it up to you." She said then kissed me. "I'm in a lot of pain, I need to you to make it up to me a couple more times." I smiled, she smiled then kissed me, I deepened the kiss and she didn't object. We were interrupted when we heard "Um excuse me." I looked up and it was Condé. "What do you want?" I snapped "I just came to say goodbye." He said "Goodbye, you can go now." Mary said "You know Mary my ship is one of the biggest in all of Europe" he pointed to his ship in harbor. "Your still free to join me on my voyage." He said "I'm perfectly fine here." She said "Well then until next time I come to court." He said then walked away. "I cringe at the thought of him." Mary said "Mary you get me." I said "How do I get you?" She giggled "Well for one you hate Condé." I laughed "And your not afraid to call me out or tell me I'm wrong." I said. She smiled then kissed my cheek. "Let's go." She said "Okay" I said then we walked over to the boat. I picked her up the walked in the water. "What are you doing?" She giggled "I'm making sure you don't get wet." I said "You could have just set me in the boat then pushed it." She said "Just let me carry you." I said, she smiled then kissed my jaw. I set her down in the boat then jumped in, it splashed her a little. "Your getting me all wet." She smiled "By doing this?" I smiled then got on top of her. "Yes just like that." She laughed then I shook my head then water went everywhere. "Your mad Francis." She giggled "I'm mad for you." I said then kissed her. "Sail the boat." She said "Fine, but as soon as we get far enough out your all mine." I said "Fine." She smiled "Fine" I smiled then got off of her and started sailing the boat. She smiled at me as I did. "You look very handsome when you sail." She said "You know Mary I think we're out far enough." I said "Me too." She said then kissed me.
Several hours later
When I woke up Mary was tracing my chest with her finger. "Hello beautiful" I said "Hello handsome." She smiled then I kissed her she kissed me back but heard a noise. "Mary did you hear that?" I asked "Yes." She said "Here get you clothes on." I said "You should too." She said then we both put our clothes on. "Francis I heard it again." She said "I'm sure it's nothing." I said "Can we just go back to castle?" She asked "Of course we can." I said then kissed her forehead and we sailed back to the castle. "Something about that didn't seem right." She said "I know I felt like someone was watching us." I said "You don't think someone was actually watching us?" She asked, she looked scared. "No, no of course not." I said "Oh" she said "Let's just go back to my chambers." I said "Okay." She said then put her head on my shoulder. "Mary's there's no need to be scared, I will protect you no matter what." I said "I know Francis." She said then held me tight. We got back to my chambers and changed into our night clothes, Mary kept an extra night gown in my room. "I just still have a bad feeling about something." She said as we laid down. "Don't be scared Mary." I said "Francis I couldn't stand it if you got hurt again." She said "Don't worry about me." I said "But I do worry Francis, I love you and I can't lose you." She said "I love you too, just try to go to sleep." I said "I will try." She said then snuggled closer to me. She eventually fell asleep but I couldn't, I was to worried something was going to happen.
