The Final Chapter

One year later
Mary's point of view
I was in James's room playing with him. "Pick-a-boo." I smiled and crossed my eyes, he started giggling "Mommy!" He smiled "Mommy?! James you said mommy!" I smiled "Can I have a kiss?" I pointed to my cheek, he pressed his face against my cheek. "Thank you my love." I kissed his nose. "We should go get Daddy and tell him about how you said my name first." I smiled, he grabbed onto my thumb with his little hand. Then he wobbled down the hall, he fell down and started crying, I picked him up. "It's okay my love, mommy's got you." I said then kissed his forehead. "Look James, there he is." I pointed to Francis down the hall. I put him down. "Daddy!" He wobbled to him. "Hello little man." He picked him up, James started giggling, He pulled James shirt up and blew a raspberry on his stomach, he started giggling even more. Then Francis walked over to me. "Did you here that? His first word was Daddy!" Francis said "No, it's was Mommy, that's why we came see you." I said "Well I wasn't there." He laughed "What? James! Tell daddy, say mommy." I said "I love mommy!" James said "Mommy loves you too!" I smiled then took him from Francis. "James, say I love daddy." Francis said "I love mommy!" He said "Oh yes you do!" I kissed his cheek, he started giggling and kissed my nose. "That is not fair." Francis laughed "That James is a mommy's boy?" I giggled "Yes, maybe you should give me a little girl so I can have a daddy's girl." He smiled "Maybe that will happen soon." I smiled "Are you really?" He asked "Yes, I am." I smiled "James why don't you go see uncle bash and aunt Kenna for a minute?" He pointed to Bash and Kenna, James smiled then wobbled over to them. "You make me so happy Mary Valois." He kissed me. "I'm one month along." I smiled "I love you so much." He said "I love you too." I kissed him. "Come on, I want to take you somewhere." He said "Where?" I smiled "You'll see, James come here bud." He picked him up then put him on his shoulders. James started pulling on his curls. "How does that feel?" I laughed "Awesome." He laughed then held my hand and we walked to the lake. "James look." He pointed at a bunny.  "Mommy!" He ran to it. "He's going to call everything mommy." I laughed "He will figure it out." He laughed "James come back here." I said He walked over to me and sat on my lap. "Mommy I tired." He said "Do you want to go take a nap?" Francis asked "No I want to stay here." He said then held onto me. "James my love are you sure you don't want to go to bed?" I asked "Yes mommy." He said "Mommy's tired too." I giggled then laid my head on Francis's lap. "Sweet dreams." He kissed me and James's forehead. "I love you Francis Valois." I said "I love you Mary Valois." He smiled then kissed me. "I love you mommy and daddy." James said "You said it!" Francis smiled, James giggled then ran into a field, Francis and I ran after him and we spent the rest of my day playing games and spending time together as a family.
