The Morning After

Francis's point of view
When I woke up Mary had her head on my chest and my hand in her hair. She looked so pretty. I laid there and stroked her hair gently while she snored lightly. She raised her head and smiled at me "Your awake" I smiled "Yes I am." She lightly kissed me. "Mary Valois." I smiled "Yes Francis Stuart?" She giggled "I love you." I said "I love you too." She smiled "How did I get so lucky to have you as my wife?" I kissed her. "I'm pretty lucky too." She smiled "I'm luckier." I smiled then kissed her. "Are you sure your okay after last night?" I asked "You mean the consummation?" She asked "Yes." I said "I mean it wasn't fun and I didn't enjoy having half of court watching us have sex but it wasn't that bad." She said "Don't worry, we never have to do that again." I said "I know darling." She said stroking my cheek, I pulled her up onto my lap and pulled the blanket over her. "Your Mother was trying to get me to take all these herbs yesterday, they smelt awful." She said "Did you put them on?" I laughed "No, I threw them in the fire." She laughed "You threw them in the fire?" I laughed "Yes." She giggled then Cathrine burst in. "Congratulations!" She smiled "On what?" I asked "You got married and no one found out Mary's pregnant." She said "No one was ever going to find out." Mary said "How do you know that?" She asked "Because only five people knew, two of them are the child's parents." Mary said "Mary you never now with rumors." She said "Mother did you come in here for any reason other than tell us congratulations or just to interrupt our morning?" I asked "I just came to discuss what the child will call me." She said "Call you?" Mary asked "Yes what will it call me? Grandma? Grandmother?" She asked "Mother you have nine months to figure that out so please leave." I said "Mary did you take the herbs I gave you?" She asked "Yes." Mary said "At least one of you listens to me." She said then walked out, I started laughing. "Shh! She might hear you!!" She covered my mouth, I licked her hand. "Francis that's disgusting!" She lightly hit my head then wiped her hand on my face. "You liked it." I said getting on top of her "It did not like it." She giggled "We can never just have a night or morning alone." I smiled "We can have the rest of the morning alone." She said "What will we do with our morning alone?" I smirked tracing her body with my finger "That's for you to decide." She smirked "After last night I have to think of a lot of new things." I said "I think you can use your big imagination." She smiled then kissed me.
Hours later
Mary's point of view
When I woke up Francis had his arms wrapped around me and his nose was pressed against my cheek. I turned off my back to my side so I was facing him and gently stroked his cheek with my hand. "My Mary." He smiled then held my hand and kissed it. "I was trying not to wake you." I said "It's all right." He said pulling me into him. "I'm usually the one waking up and admiring you." He said "Change is good sometimes." I said "I'm glad we getting away for a little while." He said "Me too, I can't wait for our wedding tour." I said "Paris is going to be amazing." He said "I know, I can't wait for you to show me all your favorite things there."
I said "It might take awhile to show you everything." He smiled "We will just have to stay there until we see everything." I smiled "We better get down to the carriage yard." I said "Do we have to?" He held me close. "Yes we do." I said "We have what? 30 minutes before we will actually be late." He said "Francis." I said "What? I'm sorry I love my gorgeous wife and I never want to leave when she's in my bed." He said "Stop sweet talking me and get some clothes on." I laughed then he got on top of me, he kissed me so deeply it made me want to spend those extra 30 minutes in bed. "Now we can go." He smiled "Let's go before you get me back into bed." I said "Back into bed?" He smiled "If you behave we can have fun in the carriage and in Paris tonight." I said "Oh I will be on my very best behavior." He laughed as he put his clothes on. "Come help me with my corset please." I said "Of course." He said then tied it. "Thank you." I kissed his cheek then went and put my dress on. "Okay now button this." I said "Your clothes are so complicated." He laughed "I'm sorry I don't where leather pants and white riding shirt everyday." I giggled as we walked out of the room. "I don't wear them unless I have to wear something fancy." He laughed "People probably wouldn't even think you were royal." I laughed "Yeah they would probably be like 'Wow he's really handsome, kind of like the dauphin'" he laughed "Your mad." I giggled as we walked on to the carriage yard. "Francis." Cathrine said "What?" He asked "Your sister is coming back today." She said "Whys that a problem?" I asked "I will explain later Mary." He said "Um okay." I said "Just tell her she can't come back." He said "She says she misses you and the rest of your siblings and Henry said she can come back." She said "Does he not see how bad that will be for our family?" He asked "He thinks she's changed." She said "I love Claude no matter what but she will ruin our family name." He said "I know, just get in the carriage, try to have fun." She said "Let me know how it goes." He said then held my hand and we walked over to Henry. "Francis, Mary!" He said "Goodbye Henry, we will see you soon." I said then hugged him and said goodbye to everyone else then walked to the carriage. I looked at Henry and Francis and they looked like they were fighting. When Francis go in the carriage he looked mad. "What's wrong?" I asked "My dad doesn't understand she's not ready to come back." He said "Francis what do you mean?" I held his hand. "Claude she, she has always been a little wild. Servants have found her in bed with women and men, sometimes both. I don't care about that, she my sister and I love her but She messes around with drugs and she has came close to dying, so my parents sent her away so this convent and now my father wants to bring her back even though she isn't ready, I know she isn't and it's going to be awful." He said "Oh Francis I'm so sorry, maybe she is better though." I said "Mary you don't understand how bad it was, I don't want to see her like that again." He said, I hugged him. "I'm sorry Francis, just try to stay positive, after all we are going on our wedding tour." I said "Your right I'm sorry." He said "Don't apologize for worrying about your family love." I said "Try to get some rest Mary." He said "You too." I said then put my head on his shoulder
Later that night
Francis's point of view
When I woke up it was pitch black out and Mary was sleeping on my shoulder. "Mary, wake up." I said "hm what?" She said sleepily "Were here." I said "Okay." She yawned and stretched then hit my head and giggled. I pinched her nose. "Hey!" She giggled "You allowed to hit me but I'm not allowed to punch your nose?" I laughed "Yep." She giggled "Come on." I said then got out of the carriage and help her out. "Thank you." She kissed my cheek and we held hands. "Welcome your majesties." She bowed "No need to formalities, what's your name?" Mary asked "Ella your grace, I mean Mary." She said, mary smiled at her. "Well we're very tired, can you take us to our room?" I asked "You want one room?" She asked "Um yes." I said "Oh we had Mary in a room in the south wing and Francis in the north wing." She said "In your opinion which room has a better view?" Mary asked "The south wing, it has a view of the river and the gardens." She said "Great, we will take that room." Mary said "Okay, we will take your bags there." She said then went over to the carriage and another servant led us to our chambers. "Here are you chambers." He said "Thank you." Mary said then we went into our chambers. "I'm so tired." I said then jumped on the bed. "Are you sleeping in your clothes?" She giggled "I don't really care at this point." I smiled as she took off her dress and corset and slipped into her night gown, she walked over to the bed and laid down then closed her eyes. "Mary I have been on my very best behavior." I said "Didn't you just say how tired you were?" She giggled "I think I have just enough energy." I smiled "Save your energy for later." She giggled, then I kissed her. "Good night." I said "Goodnight, love you." She said "Love you too."  I said then pulled her close to me. "You smell nice." I said "What do I smell like?" She smiled "You smell like flowers." I said "You smell like cologne, I don't know what it smells like it just smells all manly." She giggled "Manly?" I laughed "Yes manly." She giggled. "Thank you for talking to me today." I said "What do you mean?" She asked "About Claude, it might not have seemed like it but it really helped." I said "Of course Francis, I will always be here to talk." She said then kissed me. "Try to get some sleep, don't let this stress you out. This is supposed to be our time." She said "I know, I promise I won't let this distract me from our time." I said "Just let me know if you want to talk about it anymore." She said. "I will." I kissed her forehead then she laid her head on my chest and fell asleep then I held her close and eventually fell asleep with the smell of Mary's flower perfume under my nose.
