Chapter 3

Betty
Friday.
That morning I was walking to school alone because Archie was training for the match that night.

I decided to tell Archie and Veronica about The Black Hood thing,because friends don't lie and I didn't want any problems,they told me it was okay,but whenever I was in danger I had to quit.

It was starting to get cold,December was close.

I was about to arrive when I saw all the Serpents smoking and drinking and laughing.

"Oh Betty!"Someone in that group yelled making me look at them again,Jughead,he had bruises on his face and some cuts.

"Betty!"He said again walking towards me. "I found something about Black Hood."

"What?"I asked.

"He came yesterday to the Whyte Wyrm ."He took a black leather glove out from his pocket. "He forgot this."

"Oh My God Jughead!"I yelled excited and quickly hugged him. "Thanks Thanks Thanks!"

I felt him smile but he didn't hug back,probably because his friends were watching or because he literally just met me.

I quickly pulled away. "Is that why you have bruises?"

"Yeah,but no big deal"He said.

"Thanks."I repeated.

"No problem."He said.

"Jug come on!"The pink haired girl yelled. "Class is gonna start!"

"Okay okay!"He yelled back. "Um,see you later I guess."

And with that he walked back with the Serpents.

I walked inside and looked for V.

"Hi B."She said smiling.

"Hi V."I added.

"How's your Black Hood investigation going?"She asked smiling.

I took the glove out of my purse. "I got his glove."

"What?!How?!"She said surprised.

"Magic."I said smiling and starting to walk.

"Yeah no,tell me how."She said. "Wait,or who?"She asked.

I looked at her and shook my head no smiling.

"Wait someone got it to you?!"She asked. "Who?!Is it a guy?Oh my God was it a guy?"

Then the Serpents started walking through the same hall,and Jughead half smiled at me.

"No way."V said. "No way."

"What?!"I asked acting distracted.

"Did Jughead Help you?!"She asked.

"Maybe."I said opening my locker.

"Aw!"She said. "Is he gonna help you to find Black Hood?"

"Maybe."I said again.

"This is so cute,the Serpent and the goodie."She said as I turned around.

"I'm not a goodie."I said.

She smiled. "Yeah you are."

"I'm not a-"I got cut by her.

"Come on let's go,we don't wanna be late right?"She said smiling.

I rolled my eyes and we walked to class.

After school all the cheerleaders got ready for the match that afternoon.

After rehearsing a lot the choreography we walked to the football field,it was already dark outside and it was just 7pm.

Everyone started applauding at us as we got ready.

"We're blue and gold,we're dynamite,we'll take you down we'll fight the fight!
R!-I!-V!-E!-R!-D!-A!-L!-E! Riverdale!
Then our song started playing and we started dancing it.

When we were done the match started.

I sat down on the steps and someone yelled at me. "Hey watch out!"

"I'm so sorry!"I said looking up at who it was,the pink haired girl,the serpent.

"Ugh,cheerleaders."she said. (No hate on Toni,I love her)

"Do you have something against cheerleaders?"I asked.

"Well yeah,they're stupid."she said.

"What's going on?"V asked.

"And here it comes."That girl said rolling her eyes in disgust.

"Pardon me?"V asked offended.

"You girls are stupid,you have no idea about how real life is."She said.

"I bet we have more than you do."V said.

"Oh really?"Toni said getting closer.

"Yeah."And with that Veronica threw her Pop's milkshake all over the girl.

I widened my eyes and cover my mouth with a hand.

"Bitch!"The girl yelled standing up and walking away.

Riverdale won,obviously,so the cheerleaders had to dance again.

We stood up and started dancing the choreography again.

We were almost done when all the light of the field turned off,and the music.

Suddenly a shot,The Black Hood was there.

All the Serpents stood up and everyone started panicking,but I didn't,I wanted to know who he or she was.

Everyone started running away and then I saw a black silhouette in the distance.

I started walking towards it not afraid,I didn't know where all of this braveness came from.

I felt angry,I closed my hands with all my straight. (Lol the nail marks)

Someone grabbed my wrist and stopped me.

"Betty what are you doing?!"Jughead yelled in all the noise. "You can't fight him!"

He was right,I couldn't.

I looked one more time at the silhouette,I was so close to discover who it was...

"Come on."He said.

I sighed. "Okay."

We started running towards te exit and we walked outside.

That was close.
