Chapter 9

You guys are gonna love it.

The next morning I took a shower did my makeup and got ready.

I finished my homework and grabbed my phone,I had messages from Chuck.

Chuck:You and I date on Wednesday?at Pop's.

Me:perfect

I heard knock on my window,What?

I looked at it to see Jughead.

I raised my eyebrows surprised as I opened the window.

"Hey there Juliet."He said stepping in.

"Why through the window?"I asked.

"I have the feeling your mom doesn't enjoy my presence."He said making me smile and roll my eyes.

"Okay,so I've thought about it and the map definitely means something."I said. "But I don't know what."

He just looked at me.

"We just need to think about all and try to relate it."I said. "Jughead I'm related in this,The Black Hood knows who I am,what if he hurts me,what if he kills me or he makes me kill someone or-"He cut me off.

"Betty,no one is gonna die okay?"He said. "Listen..."

"What."I asked but he just looked at me. "What."I laughed.

He put his hands on my cheeks quickly leaned in and kissed my lips.

I kissed back surprised.

When we pulled away it hit me. "The car!"I said.

"Wow.That's what you're thinking about in the middle of our moment?"He smiled.

"No!Jughead there was a car next to the house."I said.

"What do you mean?"He asked.

"We gotta go back."I said grabbing my things.

"Now?"He asked.

"Yeah."I said. "My parents are at work,don't worry."

We ran downstairs and to his motorcycle.

When we arrived I saw the car and ran towards it.

I opened it and saw a lot of Jingle jangle packs.

I was about to take one but Jughead stopped me.

"Don't touch it,this is our Golden Clue Betty,this is full of fingerprints."He said.

"I'll call Sheriff Keller."I said taking my phone out of my pocket.

"Jughead?"We heard from behind and we quickly turned around but he closed the car's door.

"Sweet pea,Toni."Jug said. "What are you guys doing here?"

"Why is she with you?"Sweet Pea asked.

"We are working on something."He said.

Toni looked at me with a despise face.

"And what are you working on?"Toni asked walking closer to me.

"The Black Hood."I said.

"The Black Hood?"She asked.

"Yeah Toni."Jug said. "What are you guys doing here?"

"We were just walking."Sweet pea said. "We'll see you later"

"Don't be late for the fight Jug!"Toni yelled as they walked away.

"Another fight?"I asked.

"Yeah,you can come if you want."He said smirking making me laugh.

A couple of minutes later the Sheriff arrived and we showed it to him.

"This is definitely a clue,but what are you two doing here?"He asked.

"Oh we were...on a date."Jughead lied putting his arm around my waist.

"Yeah,and we saw the car opened and saw all that Jingle Jangle."I added.

"So you two were on a date in the forest with a murderer out here?"He asked raising his eyebrows.

"Yeah."I said.

"Are you even a couple?"He asked.

"Yeah we are."Jug said and I nodded.

"Okay well you should go home."He said and we nodded and walked to his motorcycle.

"Is he still watching?"I asked.

Jug looked behind us. "Yeah."

We got on the motorcycle and he started driving away.

"Okay so you two found a car full of Jingle Jangle?"Veronica asked as Jug nodded.

"And you called Sheriff Keller?"Archie asked and I nodded.

We were at Pop's explaining them what happened.

"And are you okay?"Veronica asked.

"Yeah."I said. "But I need to find him V,what if he kills my mom,or F.P?Or maybe one of us.We have many clues,but what if he knows everything."I asked worried.

Jughead wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I looked at him with a concerned face and held his hand.

Archie raised his eyebrows and V furrowed them confused and surprised.

"Okay so you guys just need to put them in common."Veronica said.

"Yeah,that's the problem."Jug said pulling his arm away.

"Well B,you know if you need something I'm here."Veronica said.

"Thanks V."I said.

When we finished our milkshakes V and I walked outside because Jug and Archie stayed talking about the Serpents and the Bulldogs.

"I just noticed the Serpents king put his arm around you... ?"Veronica asked.

I smiled. "Okay so past couple days I haven't been in a great plan emotionally."I started saying and she nodded. "And Jughead was Really there for me."

"Oh my god!"She said smiling. "Okay in that case,if he helped my girl navigate some turbulent waters,well then Veronica Lodge approves."

I smiled.

"You got it girl,come on,let's go"
