Chapter 6

The next morning I woke up early and got ready.

I wrote Jughead.

Me:I'll send you my address

Jughead:Yeah,it would be helpful

I smiled at his message and sent it to him.

Then the bell rang.

I ran downstairs and walked to the door.

"Mom be kind."I said and Sophie nodded.

I opened and there he was,standing with a big bruise under his eye and some cuts on his face,he wasn't wearing the leather jacket,a denim one instead.

"Come in."I said smiling.

He walked in and towards my mom.

"Mom this is Jughead."I said.

"I'm mrs.Cooper."She said. "Nice to meet you...Jughead."

He smiled and we sat down.

I looked at my mother's purse that was on the couch and he followed my look.

We started eating.

"So I've heard you're a Serpent."Mom said while he drunk of his orange juice.

He looked at me and then let the glass on the table. "Yeah I am."He said.

"So tell me about you."Mom said.

"Um,I'm Jughead Jones my-"He got cut by my mom.

"Wait."She said. "Your dad is F.P Jones?"

He nodded. "He is."

She nodded and I looked at her with a dead glare.

"Um where's the rest room?"He asked.

"Oh come I'll help you find it."Mom said standing up and so he did.

He looked at me and raised his eyebrows,then he looked to the purse.

I nodded and grabbed it.

Her phone,lipstick,a little mirror,a watch,money...a photo.

I took it and looked at it.

There was a black heart and on the back a message, "meet me at the forest,at 21 pm,on Monday."

Who was it from?

I put it in my pocket and sat back down on my chair.

Mom walked back. "He isn't that bad."She said.

"I know."I said.

She also sat back down. "Are you two a thing?"

"No."I said.

After a minute he walked back in.

And I realized he had more bruises than I thought.

"Well thanks for coming Jughead."Mom said.

He nodded smiling at her and walked to the door.

I also walked there leaving my mom in the kitchen.

"I found a photo with an address."I whispered to him and showed him the paper.

He read it and looked up at me. "You aren't going right?"

"Of course I am."I said.

"Betty no."He said.

"Jug I need to."I said.

He sighed. "Then I'm also coming."

"Okay thanks,see you on Monday I guess."I said and he nodded.

"Bye Betty."He said. "I loved the pancakes."

"Bye."I said smiling and closing the  door.

"So you wanna come over?"I asked V through the phone.

"Okay,thanks B."She said. "I'll be there in 10"

"See you."I said hanging up.

I took the photo out of my pocket and looked at it one more time,who the heck was sending hearts to my mom?If my dad found out...

When Veronica arrived we talked about how dumb Archie was sometimes,and we watched some Netflix

"God I think I know who A is."V said as we watched Pretty Little Liars. "Maybe Jenna?"

"No it can't be her."I said pretty sure.

When we finished the chapter I turned off the TV.

It was already 6pm.

"Okay,let's go to Pop's,we need some fresh air."I said.

"You're right."She said.

When we walked in we saw Archie talking with some Bulldogs.

V turned around to leave but I stopped her.

We sat down and ordered two strawberry milkshakes.

"Veronica."Archie said suddenly realizing we were there.

"Leave."V said as he walked towards us.

"Please can we talk alone?"He asked.

V looked at me and I nodded.

They both walked outside.
