Chapter 10

"Elisabeth Cooper where were you."Mom said as I walked in my house.

"Somewhere."I said.

"Betty I'm serious,there's a killer out there."She said.

"I know mom."I said.

"Come on tell me what have you done these days."She said teasing me.

"Okay."I said as we sat down on the couch. "Well I'm working on a history project with Jughead Jones,and we kissed."

"What?"She asked.

"We kissed mom."I said.

"Oh wow,I'm happy for you."She said.

"You don't like him"I said.

"If he makes you happy..."She said.

"Really?"I asked.

"I mean Polly dated Jason."She said.

"We're not dating."I said.

"You just told me you kissed."She said.

"I don't know."I said.

I was sitting on the floor of my room trying to relate the clues when my phone rang.

"Hi V."I said.

"B!"She said happy. "Are you coming to the fight?!"

"What?"I asked.

"The fight!The bulldogs versus the Serpents!"She said.

"But Archie?"I asked.

"We're just gonna watch."She said. "Come! It's right in front of what was Southside High."

"I don't know..."I said.

"I'll pick you up in ten."She said and hanged up.

I put on a jacket and walked downstairs.

Ten minutes later V was already at my door with Archie.

"Okay are the Bulldogs ready?!"Kevin yelled through the microphone.

They all cheered.

"And the Serpents?!"He yelled.

They cheered again.

We were standing around them.

"Okay so Three!Two!-"Before he could say one a Serpent already punched a guy.

I looked away.

They all started fighting,they punched Jughead and he punched back.

Like five minutes later I was already bored and I looked away for some distraction.

Then I saw a black man's silhouette walking inside Southside High.

I looked at everyone to check that anyone saw me and I ran after the man.

I walked in and heard steps.

"Hello?"I asked.

The steps stopped.

"Hello?"I asked again.

I kept walking through the abandoned hallways.

I opened a door and saw a dirty class. "Hello?"I asked.

"Betty Cooper."I heard from behind.
