Chapter 4

Betty

That was close.

When we got outside he was still grabbing my wrist,he quickly realized it and let it go.

"What were you thinking about?!"He said sounding angry.

"I'm sorry,I just...I don't know."I said.

"Remember Betty he is stronger,he can kill you."He said.

I sighed. "Thanks for...you know."

"It's okay,just don't do it again."

"I won't."I said.

He nodded and walked back inside,I looked for the guys and explained them all what happened,including that Jughead was helping me.

"Are you insane?!"V said mad.

"I am sorry Okay?!I don't know what I was thinking about!"I said. "It felt like I wasn't Betty,like I was someone else."

"Betty you need to sleep,I'll walk you home okay?"Archie said.

I sighed and nodded,maybe they were right,I just needed to sleep,but then I looked down at my hands and they were nail marks in each one,bleeding,I closed them and we walked home.

The next morning I looked through my window and saw Archie sleeping.

I smiled and got ready.

"Honey!"Mom said walking in. "Are you feeling better?"

"Yeah."I said.

"Can you explain me exactly what happened?"She asked.

"Um,well The Black Hood came,I wanted to know who he was and I got closer and I'm sorry Okay?!"I said. "But Jughead stopped me before I could."

"Jughead?"She asked.

"He...he's a serpent."I said.

"A serpent saved you last night?!"She said confused and angry at the same time.

"Yeah mom."I said. "There's nothing wrong,he has known Archie for a long time."

"Elizabeth you know I don't like Serpents."She said.

"Well he saved me last night so I don't think he's bad."And with that she walked away.

Two weeks later.

Jughead and I searched for information about the black hood in school almost every day,but nothing.

When I was done eating breakfast I stood up about to go to V's.

"Mom!"I yelled. "I'm leaving!"

"Okay!"She yelled from upstairs.

I was looking for my phone on the couch,I raised her purse to see if it was under it but then a black leather glove fell from the purse,just as the glove I had.

My mom knew something.

I put it in again and kept looking for my phone.

"So."V said as we finished getting our nails done in her room. "Your mother has the other glove?"

I nodded. "And I don't know why."

"You should tell Jughead"She said. "Maybe he knows something."

"I would call him but I don't have his number."I said.

"Oh I do."She said grabbing her phone.

"Why?"I asked confused.

"Archie gave it to me,he said that if he didn't answer he would probably be with Jughead."She said.

I nodded and wrote down the number.

And I texted him.

Me:jughead I found something

Jughead:who are u?

Me:Betty

Jughead:what did you find??

Me:the other glove

Jughead:I told you not to get close to him

Me:I didn't,it was in my mom's purse

Jughead:do you know why?

Me:no

Jughead:And what do you wanna do?

Me:I need to get a look inside her purse but she'll catch me

Jughead:ok I'll come over at your house tmrw for breakfast

Me:what?

Jughead:trust me okay?Tell your mother I'm coming over for breakfast

Me:okay

What did he have in mind?

"So?"Veronica asked.

"He's coming over for breakfast tomorrow."I said still confused. "And I don't know why."

"Well he's a serpent,he'll know what to do."She said and I nodded.

"Well as I was about to say,there's this guy named Chuck,and he's a football player,but he wasn't at the match yesterday,then after the shot he appeared."She said.

"You think it could be him?"I asked.

"I don't know."She said.

"I'll talk to him."I said.

'Whoa whoa whoa,there's just one way to make a guy spill the beans."She said smirking. "A date."

After a lot of talking I had clear what to do.

Flirt,get a date and make him spill the beans.

"Okay he'll probably be or at Pop's or at the Whyte Wyrm."She said.

"a football player there?"I asked surprised.

"Yeah,they get in fights with the Serpents."She said rolling her eyes. "I told Archie to stop and he did."

"Okay are you coming?"I asked.

"To the Whyte Wyrm?"She asked.

I nodded.

She sighed. "Okay."
