Chapter 8

After talking a lot and eating we walked to my house.

"Well see you tonight Jug."I said.

"Yeah,I'll be here."He said.

"Bye."I said walking inside my house.

I walked to my room and laid on my bed,suddenly my parents started yelling at each other.

"It's your fault Hall!It's all your fault!"Mom yelled.

"My fault?I'm not the one cheating!"He yelled back.

"I'm not cheating!"

"I saw you Alice!I saw you!"

I closed my door and called Kevin to tell him the date was cancelled.

I put on some black jeans and a black sweater.

I grabbed a flashlight and walked downstairs.

"Honey where are you going?"Mom asked.

"Where's Dad?"I asked.

She stayed quiet and I walked outside.

I saw Jughead waiting on a motorcycle.

"A motorcycle?"I asked a bit afraid.
"Up on."He said.

"Without a helmet?"

"You can use mine,or we can walk."He said. "Or...Or we can call your mom."

I rolled my eyes and sat behind him. "Just go slow okay?"

"Oh no."He said. "No,no,no,no,no,it's actually much more dangerous if we go slow.You are gonna need a hold tight."

I put my arms around his waist and he started driving.

When we arrived I lit my flashlight and we started walking inside.

"What do you think we're gonna find?"I asked.

"I don't know,something for sure."He said.

"Where can the house be?"I asked.

I turned around and saw a big ugly abandoned house and a car next to it. "Jug?"I asked and he turned around.

"Bingo."He said and walked in,I followed him.

The floor cracked with every step we took. (Every breath you takeeee st reference,sorry I'll leave)

We walked upstairs and entered in a room.

There was a big table with a big map,it had red circles on it.

One that pointed Pop's,the Whyte Wyrm,The Riverdale High,Southside High And my house.

"Jughead why is my house pointed in here?"I asked scared and panicking.

"Relax."He said. "We'll find out."

I took a book from a desk and opened it,there was a sentence rounded with highlighter.

"All the sinners must die."

And then another one.

"Pain demands to be felt"

"Jug I found something."I said as he walked next to me and read it.

We heard a crack from downstairs and I quickly took a photo to the sentences and to the map.

We heard steps walking upstairs.

I looked at him and he looked at me not knowing what to do.

"Run."He whispered. "I'll distract him."

"I'm not leaving you."I whispered back.

"Hello?"A female voice asked.

We both hid behind the door.

"F.P?"My mother asked walking in the room.

What in hell was my mother doing there and calling Jug's dad.

"F.P?"She asked again.

"Down here!"He yelled and she walked downstairs.

"What is my mother doing here?"I whispered.

"And my dad?"He asked confused.

Once they both left we walked downstairs.

Then the floor cracked making me jump and run outside.

A couple of seconds later Jughead walked outside smiling.

"I was scared okay?"I asked.

He nodded.

"Thanks for coming."I said. "When can we see each other again,to think about the map and all?"

"I'll come over tomorrow Okay?"He said.

I nodded as we walked to his motorcycle.

"Hey Jug."I said before we got on it.

"Yeah?"He asked.

"What if our parents are hiding something,what if they know the black hood?"I asked. "I don't want my mom to get hurt."

"Betty she's not gonna get hurt."He said getting closer.

"Yeah but what if she does?"I asked. "All of this,my parents are fighting all day,she's hiding things like this to us,Jughead my family is breaking down!"

"Hey listen to me."He said. "These are just some bad days,your family is not and will not break down okay Betty?So don't,don't let go"

I nodded. "Thanks"

"Thanks for the ride."I said as we reached my house.

"Bye Betty Cooper."He said.

"Bye Jughead Jones."I said.
