7.Breakups and confessions

Star's POV

"What happened back there?" Pony head smirked at me, "oh you know... Nothing special" I smiled at her, "come on! Just tell me what happened!" Pony head yelled excitedly, "Marco apologized to me!" I blushed, "apologized in what gurl?" She asked eating a pack of popcorn, "where'd you got that?!" I asked her while pointing at the popcorns, "stop changing the topic star!" She yelled, "okay, okay, so... We kinda fought this morning" she dropped her mouth that made the popcorns fell and made a mess, "you did what now?!" Pony yelled and ate more popcorn, "well... I asked him if he's already dating Jackie, then he didn't want to answer it then..." I remembered the bad things he said back there and tears started forming in my eyes, pony head looked at me and noticed tears forming in my eyes, "why're you cryin' gurl? Wanna go to the bounce lounge?" She cheered me up, "s-sure" I wiped my eyes to remove the tears, I took pony's dimensional scissors and opened a portal to the bounce lounge, "hey look! The booth looks new!" Pony head screamed "kyaaa! What're we waiting for?!" I screamed back, we took a couple of pictures then went outside the booth then partied "hey gurl! You enjoyin?" She asked me while dancing, after hours we separated ways and went home, I opened a portal to earth and saw Marco in the couch crying... "M-marco? Why're you cryin'?" I asked softly, "i-it's nothing..." He wiped his tears, I went near him and seated beside him, I held his shoulder "hey... I'm here for you... Tell me your problem..." I smiled a bit to cheer him up, "I s-saw J-Jackie cheating on me..." He said w-wait cheating? Paranoid thoughts began to fill my head, "so you two are dating then?" I felt my heart crushed and seeing him like this makes it shatter in a million pieces, "isn't it obvious star!" He raised his voice and eyebrow, he started shedding tears, I patted his back to comfort him, "she broke up with me..." He cried, "why?" I asked, "probably because he's more better than me..." "No Marco! Don't say that! You're totally worth it! Like fighting a ton of monsters in a day! You do amazing stuffs but you just don't see it..." I realized what I was saying, my brain was telling me to confess, but my heart is just afraid that he might reject me, would I like it if I hold his hands? Or if I'm just his best friend? "You're probably right star... There are a lot of girls in the universe... I can't just cry for 1 girl! I know moving on is a hard thing but I'll try my best to achieve it! Thanks star!" He went to the kitchen and made some mid night snacks

My mind was bothering me... Is this a good time to confess my feelings? Will I break our friendship if I tell him? Should I really?

I walked down the kitchen and heard some sobbing, I took a peek and saw Marco on the floor, "hey... Why are you cryin'?" I asked "I failed star... I'm a failure!" He said softly, I gathered all my strength in what I'll be doing... "Marco... I-I actually..." He stopped sobbing "I... I.... I..." His phone started ringing, "h-hey..."
He turned on loud speaker mode, "Marco... Can we meet up?" A girl's voice asked, Marco ended the call and did nothing, "what was that star you were saying star..." He asked me, I gulped to swallow my fear, "m-marco... I like you..." Silence came to the room, Marco seems to be shocked, I blushed so hard that I look like a tomato, again... Silence took over... I gulped multiple times... "S-sorry star... I don't l-like you..." He said without hesitation, the rejection was real! I felt  tears running  down my cheeks and slowly went to my room, I hid my face so he won't see me as heartbroken as him... I entered my room and locked the door and cried at my bed, I screamed at my pillow and slept, ugh today was a rough day...
