"I've literally been throwing up since the day after we got back, but like I don't actually feel sick," I explained to Carmen and Liv
"You've probably just got food poisoning," Carmen said
"Or it's morning sickness," Liv suggested
"I'm not pregnant,"
"When you think about, you've been throwing up but not actually feeling sick since right after you got back, which was three weeks ago and you got a lot of sweet dick on that trip," Liv said
"Yeah but we used condoms," I said, even though I was beginning to see Liv's side of things
"Condoms break though. Are you on birth control right now?" Carmen asked me
"No,"
"We're going to Walgreens,"

Peeing on a stick. Sounds simple, but when you weren't planning on getting pregnant at that moment in time, it was so much harder. My life could be literally changed forever depending on what the results are. If I was pregnant, I would be thrilled and so would Kells, but if I wasn't, it wouldn't be heartbreaking. The girls knocked on the door
"Have you pissed on it yet?" Carmen asked from the other side of the door
I sighed "No, I can't. I'm too scared,"
"Chlo you'll feel so much better after you've done it,"
"Ughhh. Okay I'm going to do it,"

They came in once I'd finished, and we waited the painful two minutes to see my results
"If you are, what is Kells' reaction going to be like?" Liv asked me
I thought about it for a while "I'm not sure. I think he'd be happy, but we just weren't planning to have a kid yet,"
"Have you talked about it?" Carmen asked
"Yeah. We were going to start trying after the wedding,"
"Well that's kind of good because at least he wants kids," Liv added
"Yeah," I said, glancing at the test on the counter. A line caught my eye. I couldn't tell if it was one or two from where I was positioned, but I grabbed it off the counter. Two lines, clear as day.
"Guys,"
"What does it say?" They asked at the same time
I sat on the counter to process what I was about to say "I'm pregnant,"
"Oh my god. Chloe! You're having a kid,"
I was shocked, but kind of thrilled at the same time, I was having a baby. I was going to be a mom.
"I-I need to go home and tell him,"
"Yeah you fucking do! Get your ass in your car. Ahh I'm so happy for you!" Carmen said
I smiled and teared up "I'm having a kid,"

"Kells!" I shouted when I got in the door
"Yo! I'm in the kitchen," he said. I walked through and had the test in my jean pocket. "What's up? I thought you were gonna be back later,"
"Oh, yeah well I kind of have to tell you something," I was nervous for some reason
"Okay, what is it?"
"Any chance I can model for diddy in like 9 months?"
Kells sat up straight in his chair "What? Seriously?" He looked excited, I could see the look in his eye. I couldn't say anything because I was about to cry, so I just nodded and gave him the test. "Holy shit. Oh my god. You're pregnant?"
"Mhm," I said, then I completely lost it. I burst into tears of joy. Kells got up and hugged me "You're going to be a mom, the best mom ever," He said as he rubbed my back
"I know. I know we weren't going to start trying until after the wedding but-"
"I don't care. Our kid decided to come along now and that's cool. Okay? Don't worry. You're ready for it. I love you,"
"I love you too. But I have no idea what happens now so you're taking the lead on this one,"
"It's been 7 years but okay. We go call a doctor and then get a midwife I think,"
We called Cleveland Clinic and booked a midwife appointment 5 weeks from now, assuming I would be about 8 weeks in by then, and I would also have my first scan.
"So the girls know already?"
"Yeah they were there when I took the test. What is Cas' reaction going to be when we tell her?" I asked
"She'll be happy, I know she will. I'm more worried about your parents and how their daughter is having a kid with a rapper,"
"They'll be fine. They were happy for us when I told them we were engaged,"
"Okay. I'm gonna tell my dad,"
"Oh yeah. How are things going with him? Is he getting an invite?"
"Yeah, probably. He's doing okay, been sober for a while, so you know; we'll just see how things go,"

Me: Guess what
Zack: What
Me: I'm making a fam before u
Zack:??
Zack: pregnant?
Me: ;)
Zack: WHAT
Me: Not exactly planned but uno🤷🏽‍♀️
Zack: Congrats!!!!!
Me: Tyyy
Zack: Mom and dad's thoughts on u having a rappers kid?
Me: fuck them. I haven't told them yet I was just abt to
Zack: Good luck

I decided to ring my parents, solely because they took a painfully long amount of time to type text messages and I wanted instant reactions
"Hi honey,"
"Hey mom, is dad home?"
"Not right now, why?"
"I just needed to tell you both something,"
"Oh god. What is it?"
"9 months from now you're going to be a grandma," I told her. The line went silent "Hello?"
"I-I- You're pregnant?" My mom said, almost unable to believe what I was telling her
"Yep. We're expecting!"
"Sweetie I'm so happy for you! You never told me you were planning this!"
"Yeah we were going to try after the wedding but you know, things happen,"
"Yes, yes. Zack was supposed to be conceived a year later than he was so I'm not judging you,"
I sniggered "Seriously?"
"Yes but don't tell him that. Anyway I'm so happy for you and when dad gets home I'll ask him to give you a call. If you need to know anything, just call me or text or WhatsApp, one of those and I will help you,"
"Okay, thanks mom,"
"Bye,"
I was so relieved that she was happy about it, and for that extra little bit of information I received about Zack. I smirked and turned around as I heard footsteps in the room
"Hey I'm- what you smiling at?" He said suspiciously, a tiny smile creeping across his face
I shrugged "Nothing,"
"Something. Why is my favourite girl smiling so much?" He asked me, wrapping his tattooed arms around my waist and pulling me closer to him
"Life is good, you know? You're here, you're my fiancée. We're having a kid. It's all good,"
"Your mom's chill about the kid isn't she?" How could he read me like a book? My smile turned into a full on grin "Yep,"
"Well if you're happy," he gave me a quick kiss "So am I. Anyway I was going to pick Cas up from school, you coming?"
"Sure, I can't wait to see the look on her face when we tell her," I said, feeling giddy with the build up of all these positive emotions that I wasn't used to
"She's gonna be thrilled,"
