Ugh, Monday. Which means...school.

I overslept, as usual; quickly brushed my teeth and took a shower; got dressed; did my long hair into a messy bun; made some omelette for breakfast; and after eating, ran to school, as fast as my skinny legs could carry me.

I caught up with my friend, Kevin Gelber, just as he was entering the school. He was with his headphones, as usual, so I had to shake his arm vigorously until he finally noticed I was here.

"Oh, hey Ellie," he said and gave me a quick smile. "Just in time, huh?"

"As usual," I replied and headed for my locker at the end of the hall. "What do we have?"

"Uh, I think..." He fumbled with his phone, trying to find the timetable for Monday. "Ah, yes! We have English upstairs, Mathematics, uh, also upstairs, and Sport to end the day." He gave me another quick smile and stuffed his hands and phone in his jean pockets.

"And in between?" I raised one eyebrow. Kevin loved to mess with me, primarily when the conversation shifted to our timetable.

The bell rang, and he sprinted to his locker, which was all the way on the other side of the corridor. Great.

I threw my Maths textbook and some other books into my backpack and headed to Homegroup.
