At 2 o'clock at night, my ringing phone woke me up. When I checked to see who it was, to my surprise, it was Kevin. I answered.

"Hey, Ellie, I'm sorry I was such a jerk at school. I didn't mean to, believe me. And I'm sorry we missed the party. I totally understand if you went without me."

I smiled and felt my eyes getting watery. I blinked a few times. "It's okay. I didn't go."

"Oh. Well, it's the last day of school tomorrow, wanna go somewhere?"

"I-" I was going to remind him he didn't want to ask me out but decided not to. "I'd love to go somewhere with you, Kevin."

"Great! To the movies? Ice cream? Both?" I laughed and he laughed too. It felt good. It definitely felt right.

"So...?"

"Sounds good. Movies and ice cream," I concluded. We then said our goodbyes and goodnights and hung up. I couldn't sleep though. The thought of going out with Kevin didn't seem as disgusting as it did with Casper. It felt good.

It definitely felt right.
