Alice POV:
The morning goes like every other morning, it's what comes after betty goes to school that's exiting to me. I get dressed in a baby blue shirt with a tight white skirt. For the record I hate dressing like this but I have to. I decide to head to pops to see Fp, in order to make this work we would both have to put in the effort to see each other. If that means getting my work done at pops then so be it. I used to love writing for the register but now I can't even say my own opinion because Hermione and Hiram control what I say. One thing Alice Smith is not going to be is controlled but for some reason that's what I find myself being.
I shake the thoughts out my mind and head to pops with my laptop under my arm.
"What's happening handsome?" I say walking up to the counter.

Fp POV:
She looks cute in her northside clothes I'll give her that but in her southside clothes she looks sexy. Both looks made my heart beat increase when I saw her though.
"Just watching possibly the most beautiful woman to graze the earth walk into a diner, you?" I reply surprised my mind even mustered that up but when it comes to her I do things I can't explain.
"I need to get some work done" she sighs looking down about it.
"So your usual with an extra shot of expresso to perk you up" I suggest and she sends me a grin and nods.
She sits down in a booth and I watch her type away at her laptop. Every now and then she would pause for a bit to think convincing me it's the most adorable thing I've ever seen. God she's really got me falling for her.
I finish her food making sure it was perfect for her before bringing it over. She doesn't look away from the screen when I put it down.
"Thank you honey" she says somehow making me grin with those simple three words.
I carry on with my work glancing over at her whenever I get a moment and soon my shifts nearly over. I'm only half day today which means I can take her on our date when I'm done.
"You can go early today Fp, we aren't busy today" pops says and I nod thanking him going straight over to Alice who has just shut her laptop.
"Your finished?" She asks and I nod in confirmation.
"What about you, get your work done?" I ask her and she gives me a halfhearted nod.
"I know that face, what's wrong?" I ask her and she takes a deep breath.
"I hate working at the register now" she explains looking very torn up about it.
"Hey its okay, if you hate it then quit" I say simply but she shakes her head.
"I can't, then what will I do? It's not even about the money" she gushes and I rub her shoulders trying to get her to calm down.
"What is it to do with then?" I ask her and she looks up at me.
"This is what your supposed to do right? Have a job. For once in my life I want something to be done right, if I can have a normal marriage, a husband who's not a serial killer, my real son or a normal public non hidden relationship then the least I can give myself is a generic job. At least one thing in my life has to be as planned" she rants before softening a little. Of course the whole normal relationship hit me a bit because in reality we possibly can never have one.
"Look I'm sorry, it feels good to get that off my shoulders. I think I needed that, to tell someone how I feel" she continues in a noticeably more calm voice.
"I'm always here for you to load your problems onto" I reply understanding what she said more than I thought i would, in fact I relate to her. Working at pops is what I feel I need to do but it's not really what I want. Anyway I have to focus on her right now and the date I'm about to take her on.
"Thank you Fp" she replies and I have to hold myself back from pulling her into a hug because a few people just walked in.
"I have something planned that will take your mind off this whole situation" I say taking her hand and leading her out of pops into the truck.
"Where are we going?" She asks.
"To my trailer so I can get dressed and the next part is a surprise" I reply hoping she would like what I had planned. It isn't over the top of fancy like she is probably used to but I know Alice Susanna Smith would appreciate this.
We get to my trailer and I take of my uniform.
"You know we don't have to go out" she says walking over to me so we are basically pressed against one another. I give her a quick kiss on the lips.
"Didn't you say no sex" I reply knowing exactly what she's hinting at.
"Oh yeah" she remembers allowing a little disappointment seep through. As much as the idea sounded more than amazing to me, I want to take things some what slow with her otherwise our relationship may end up being purely sex based because at least that way we wouldn't have to acknowledge what we really feel. But I am going to do everything in my power to not let that happen.
"And you said you don't give it away till the third date" I remind her. Everything she says seems to stick in my head and I reply it again and again.
"Yeah yeah I remember" she mutters waiting for me to get into my clothes.
"Okay we are all set" I say picking up the bag I prepared for us.
"Now where are we going" she says following my into the truck glancing at the bag suspiciously.
"Patience Alice" I reply and she rolls her eyes letting me keep it a surprise.
I pull up next to a forest and she looks at me like I am made
"Your going to kill me" she says half as a joke but there is a nervous tint to her voice.
"No, unless your allergic to sandwiches" I reply and open the bag unveiling some below average sandwiches and an array of her favourite fruits.
"We're going to have a picnic" she squeals sounding like a child.
"Unless you like your idea better" I reply referring to her earlier statement.
"No a picnic sounds amazing" she replies excitedly proving my thoughts, there never was a Alice Cooper, just Alice Smith trying to put up an act for everyone to fall for.
We walk into the forest before we can even sit down she insists on picking some blackberries.
"Just like old times" she sighs contently to herself. She turns around flashing me a grin and popping an unwashed blackberry in her mouth, a very unusual thing for her northside persona to do but she wasn't putting that act up right now. It given me major flashbacks of our younger years, that smile, picking blackberries and having picnics in summer break.
"Here try one" she insists popping one into my mouth.
"Great why do I bother preparing food when you'd rather eat off the plants in the middle of a forest" I joke pretending to be a little annoyed.
"Okay then, let's eat" she suggests finding a nice patch of grass and sitting down on it.
"Wait you skirt" I remind her thinking of how much it must cost and how hard any stains will be to get out of that baby blue color.
"Oh it'll be fine" she replied but I put down the blanket I packed anyway for her to sit on.
