SEOKJIN WAS GLARING at the monster in front of him, trying to come up with a plan to face it alone. He realized how idiotic it was to just bolt without a plan or any backup with him.

The monster grinned evily, showing off its sharp fangs. "I've finally found the right guardian. Lucky me, yeah?"

"Get away from me and no harm will come to you," Jin said sternly, holding his hands out as a poor form of defense.

"Don't make me laugh, Kim Seokjin. I just need that small bracelet on your hand and I'll leave everybody alone." It's voice sounded like multiple bears were growling when she– it spoke. Jin was barely able to understand its words.

"I'll never give this bracelet to anyone, creature," he spat, his right ankle sparking up in pain. "What makes you think that the likes of some lowlife monster will be able to convince me otherwise?"

It snapped its jaw back at Jin, forcing him to jump a step back. "Of course, I could just kill you. Then I could take the jewel without your consent."

Before he could react, she grabbed onto his neck and lifted him above the ground, then threw him against the furthest wall across the room.

This definitely caught the partygoers' attention. Screams erupted from every corner of the floor and a stampede was caused. Everyone tried to get downstairs as fast as they could and no one could give a damn about their top chef lying barely conscious on the floor.

Everyone except for two stylish men who ran over to him.

The chef took a good look at the men who just ran in. He immediately recognized the bartender - Hoseok, was it? he thought in confusion - but the other pink haired man was no one he's met before.

Hoseok stood in front of the chef and helped him back up his feet. The man with pink hair stayed in front of the mutated Suran, seperating her from the men behind him with a line of fire. Both of their eyes were glowing somehow, Hoseok was a very light blue colour, while the pink haired man had a literal burning glare on his face.

Jin would be lying if he said that he wasn't the least bit intimidated at their glares.

"Jin, have you lost your bloody mind?" Hoseok demanded as he ran up to the disoriented chef. "You shouldn't go running off on your own, especially just after I told you about the dangers lurking in this damn building."

A ringing in Jin's ear prevented him from hearing Hoseok shout at him.

As Jin was being lifted, his vision faded. The only thing he could see was a green crystal of a sort - one that looked more than similar to the one om his bracelet - resting upon a golden crown. Inside the jewel was an oak tree, standing broad and strong in the middle of an empty field.
