Cold.

Why is it so cold?

And why am I wet?

...Well, not that kind of wet.

The man lost in his own thoughts shivered, trying to bring his hands to rub against his arms for warmth. He realized that he couldn't after a few attempts, his mind starting to become restless.

What the hell is going on?

Confused to the point of insanity, he tried recalling the day's events, not realizing what was going on around him since his senses hadn't completely returned.

The dancer went from wondering when his next audition was to wondering if he would ever see the sunrise again in just the span of a few hours.

He was in shock when the announcer transformed into a monster he knew well from the books he reads. He couldn't believe what Thanda had shown him or told him, no matter how convincing it was. He really didn't want to believe that what she said was true, but all the proof he needed slapped him across the face soon enough.

He can't remember exactly what happened during his conversation with Lisa, even forgetting that they were surrounded by one of his biggest fears. Everything he wanted to doubt - these so called powers, gathering a team and all that - was slowly sinking in as reality when he felt a sword go through his ribcage.

But why? he kept asking himself. Why would Lisa attack me? What do I have that she needs? Was she always after me?

In him mind's eye, he could only see darkness, but he could feel everything going on around him. There were grunts of pain and frustration, commands being thrown over his head, shouts of please wake up, you two. We need you.

He was confused by it all, wondering why he couldn't see what was going on. Before he could ponder or freak out, there was a disturbance in the air around him.

Suddenly, the darkness split open like curtains, similar to how the stage would look right before his cue to perform. That gave him a high sense of nostalgia, as if he'd never be able to do that any time soon.

The seperation revealed a path that lead to a fountain, one built with sapphire crystal and water as clear as diamonds. There was a sprout from the top raining down to the small pool. The trickle of water sounded so inviting, as if it said come here and I will rid you of your fears.

It said it in a voice he knew very well, but at the same time couldn't recognize to save his life. It's a voice that felt like home, giving him warmth and comfort despite the wetness he felt on his body.
