Namjoon woke up the next day with a heavy heart and muscle pain.
The physical pain was obviously from the previous night. Trying to fend off an army of lembus while watching over Thanda and Jimin was quite the mission for the blonde, for everyone. They were all worried sick when the two fainted out of nowhere, but Hoseok and Jungkook were sure that they would be alright.
It didn't help ease Namjoon's heart.
Namjoon walked down to the kitchen to get something to eat, planning to try and prepare breakfast for everyone this time around. As he walked down, memories from the previous night flashed through his mind.
You let her get hurt, you moron.
Even though Seokjin had a talk with him before heading to bed, he still felt that pain.
"What do you call a fake noodle? An impasta!" The ginger haired man giggled.
"How does a cow laugh? Moohahaha!" Another quiet laugh from the oldest.
"When do you need to visit the dentist? Tooth-hurty!" This time he laughed the loudest.
After a few seconds of joyous squeaks from the ginger, he quietened down, noticing how the tension in Namjoon's mood hadn't lifted the slightest.
Seokjin knew that there was obviously going to me some things that hung in the air that needed to be sorted out, but he didn't stop to think about how everyone besides Jimin and Thanda were feeling.
The chef smiled softly and sat on the other side of the counter. Namjoon didn't look up from his cold cup of hot chocolate, still lost in his thoughts ever since he sat down to make it.
How could you let her get hurt, you moron?
"You do realize that she's fine, don't you?" Seokjin asked, chin resting on his palms.
Without even a blink, Namjoon snapped back softly. "Then why did she faint? What if Jimin's power is only temporary like Hoseok's? What if she's up there bleeding to death and Hoseok can't help her?"
Seokjin sighed, seeing how vulnerable his co-guardian was. "Namjoon, they were attacked at an area where none of you were. It's not your fault."
"She could be called me instead of that cherry coloured flame boy," he replied, stirring the half full cup with a teaspoon.
"First of all, she called Jungkook most probably since he'd know how to help Jimin. He did tell me that she told him to save him first," he said, both guardians rolling their eyes at how she couldn't care for her wounds for one second. "Second, stop being jealous, you ass. She was harmed and in need of healing."
"If I'd followed her then she wouldn't need healing," Namjoon continued, still staring at his cup. "I mean, Jimin hadn't unlocked his powers yet and she barely known how to control hers."
Seokjin's lips stretched into a thin line. "The hydra would've caused more problems if you hadn't stayed back and helped. Plus, we're alive and safe. Things worked out for the better."
